The Studies on 1821 include sections on the Revolution in Macedonia, Thrace, the tragic events in Constantinople, Ayvalik, Smyrna, the Anatolian coasts, against the Rum from the Sublime Porte and the Turkish mob, along with other known and lesser-known or unknown events.
Particular emphasis is placed on these events and especially on the continuation of their struggles, as many Macedonians, Thracians, Anatolians, in general, descended into Southern Greece and continued their fight alongside their fellow Greeks.
There is also mention here of the dramatic occurrences during the Revolution in Cyprus and the significant assistance from the residents of the Ionian Islands. The same applies to the Greeks of the Diaspora who came to fight in the revolutionizing Motherland, as well as those who materially and morally supported their refugee compatriots.
The Revolution of 1821 drew the interest of Europeans, who as eyewitnesses of the battles wrote about the events and other things they witnessed in Greece, while others promoted a brave Philhellenic movement in their own countries.
