Description

Description

  • Higher frequencies
  • Built-in power management integrated circuit
  • Higher capacities
  • Integrated Device Error Correction Code

Higher Frequencies

The DDR5-4800 U-DIMM offers impressive frequencies of up to 4800 MT/s, a significant leap from the maximum frequency of DDR4 modules (3200 MT/s).

More Energy Efficient

This next-generation memory module operates at just 1.1V, making it 8% more energy efficient than DDR4. In addition, it features a built-in Power Management Integrated Circuit (PMIC) for improved power supply stability.

Doubled capacity

The architecture of this memory module allows for more memory bank groups and arrays. With the same area, more bank groups can be placed on the module, doubling what was possible with DDR4, offering you higher capacities.

Enhanced Stability

With the built-in Error Correction Code (ECC), this module can automatically correct errors in real time to provide increased stability and reliability.

QuikTips: DDR5 vs DDR4 - Appearance

DDR5 U-DIMM modules have the same dimensions and the same number of pins as DDR4 modules. The most obvious difference is the position of the notch. Also, DDR5 incorporates input/output resistors with CMD/ADD resistors. Additionally, the appearance of DDR5 modules is cleaner than DDR4. Furthermore, you can see a PMIC in the center.

QuikTips: DDR5 vs DDR4 - Chip Architecture

DDR5 modules offer double the capacity of DDR4, incorporating more banks and bank groups. Additionally, both Burst Length and Prefetch are doubled. And to ensure data integrity, they feature error correction code (ECC) technology.

QuikTips: DDR5 vs DDR4 - Performance

The biggest change is that the bandwidth and frequency are significantly higher. ADATA DDR5 memory modules offer frequencies of up to 4800MT/s and feature a bandwidth of 38.4GB/s, which is 50% higher than DDR4-3200. The maximum frequency is increased by 1.63 times compared to DDR4.
