With Claroc's HDMI AOC (Active Optical Cable), data transmission is hybrid: TMDS data is transferred through 4 ultra-thin optical fibers, while 7 gold-plated copper fibers are responsible for grounding, power supply, Ethernet, and additional functions. The optical cables are compatible with standard HDMI ports, as signal conversion occurs in chips located within the cable's connectors.
