The main innovation of the Quantum mask is that, in addition to improved downward vision, it prevents lens fogging through the internal thermal regulation of the warm, humid air expelled from the nose.
This air is channeled by a membrane system placed in the mold around the eyes and nose, diverting the flow towards the silicone skirt and not towards the lenses.
The outer part of the skirt features a cooling system consisting of two small heat exchangers that act as "radiators." The result is that the temperature inside the mask drops, comes closer to the external temperature, and moisture droplets are trapped before the air reaches the lenses, preventing them from fogging.
The lenses are not subjected to chemical treatment. It is advisable to carefully clean the lenses with toothpaste or dish detergent when the mask is new. Alternatively, you can use a lighter to burn off any volatile materials and dust that may have accumulated on the glass.
It is also always useful to use saliva as a surfactant before each dive.
Ideally, an anti-fog agent should be used before each use of the mask.
