The texts presented here have all been published at various times on my Facebook profile, sometimes accompanied by drawings and photographs of mine or other creators.

In this way, over the last 3 years, I have transformed my profile into a living literary magazine and archive, with many fervent supporters but also quite a few dissenters. In some of the texts, their online origins are evident, in others they are not. In any case, the process of creation and publication has inevitably infused them all.

Very often, a text would end up in the basket due to its minimal response or for exactly the opposite reason, because many "likes" sometimes signal that you have gone too far with the easy emotion. Just one "like" from a trusted and respected friend could resurrect another text that seemed lifeless.

At other times, some lines would come in and out as a result of the reactions of digital "friends" and "enemies." Although I have no intention of handing the conductor's baton to the crowd, I must admit that the relationship between text and reader was interactive and transparent. However, the relationship between author and reader was not.

I was clever and published only my sincere feelings while fabricating the events that produced them. Thus, the texts, while almost always seeming to address someone out there, are never the one who appears. And while they almost always seem to be written by someone in here, even that person is fake.

These texts carry their virtues and shortcomings, nonetheless. And now, as the Facebook chapter closes for me, I thought to present them in the "ancient" form that their ancestors had, the paper books.
