  • The only reason I'm taking the time to write this review is because, honestly, the product is better than I expected. In terms of build quality, the backplate is indeed cheap plastic (not PVC), but the surface where the laptop sits has an aluminum alloy that helps with cooling on its own. The fan, contrary to another review I read, is almost inaudible, but okay, that's subjective. I think its speed goes up to 1200 rpm, although the specs say 800 (I can tell from the speed up it does at full), which is fine for a computer with a max 4-core processor, in my opinion, to cool effectively. It is adjustable with a knob at the back of the base (where you will also find 2 USB 2 ports and an on/off button for the "RGB" effect which stays steady as lighting, it's not real). Now, regarding the extra support, it has legs at the back that you cross, they have steps, and it stands at various angles from about 25-80 degrees, although I don't consider it a very sturdy mechanism, so I choose a small angle to be safe. It also has a plastic piece at the back that looks like a battery cover, which you can remove and wedge into a slot at the front as a stop for the laptop. Finally, the cable is made of fabric fibers, which for a cooler costing around 20 euros I consider a big plus, and its length is large so whether you put a 15 or 17-inch PC on it, it fits perfectly without stretching. In conclusion, yes, the build quality is not 10/10 but overall it is a very value-for-money choice for a NOT WORKSTATION, maybe up to a light gaming laptop. In general, as a company, NOD offers cheap solutions but for the money you pay you get something much more qualitative than the competition, it's worth checking out their power supplies and keyboard-mouse sets for sure.

It has good airflow but the plastic is as cheap as it gets... Also, the fan makes an annoying noise that I haven't encountered in any other Laptop Stand.
