In the book "Special - Sectoral Accounting", issues of accounting treatment of financial transactions in four sectors of the economy are analyzed: Maritime, Hotel, Construction, and Banking. The aim of the book is to broaden and at the same time specialize knowledge in accounting issues that are not covered by general accounting courses.
- For Maritime businesses: an accounting plan is proposed for all activities, with the least possible intervention in the structure of accounts, as defined by the Greek Accounting Standards.
- For hotel businesses: the method for addressing accounting peculiarities is indicated through the development of a suitably structured chart of accounts.
- For technical-construction businesses: development of tax and cost accounting topics takes place, along with analysis of accounts that are particularly important for the sector.
- For banking businesses: a detailed presentation of their products and accounting operations, as well as their financial statements, is made according to the Sectoral Accounting Plan for Banks.
The book is addressed to undergraduate and graduate students of Universities and Technological Educational Institutes, as well as to executives of the accounting departments of Maritime, Hotel, Construction, and Banking enterprises.
