It significantly improves the comfort of the Quest 2, as the weight is no longer primarily in the front but also in the back. It also better embraces the head, as in addition to the strap on top, it has a circular plastic at the back. Especially in ping-pong, where with the old one, due to abrupt movements and sweat, the headset constantly needed adjustment, with the Elite Strap, it is not necessary.
The only negative is that because the headset now fits much better, sweat is more difficult to dissipate, making it easier for the lenses to fog up.
The battery communicates with the headset and changes the UI to display the total battery (headset + strap), and if you press on it, it shows the individual batteries. It also doesn't constantly charge the headset. At first, I thought it was DoA because I connected it to a headset with 99% battery and it didn't show that it was charging. The headset's battery needs to drop a bit for it to start charging from the strap.
I use it with VR Cover and glasses extender without any issues.
Finally, it cleans much more easily than the original fabric.
Αναβαθμίζει την άνεση του Quest 2 αισθητά, αφού το βάρος δεν είναι πια κυρίως μπροστά αλλά και πίσω. Επίσης αγκαλιάζει καλύτερα το κεφάλι αφού πέρα από τον ιμάντα πάνω, έχει και ένα κυκλικό πλαστικό στο πίσω μέρος. Ειδικά σε ping-pong που με το παλιό, λόγω απότομων κινήσεων και ιδρώτα ήθελε συνέχεια διόρθωση το headset, με το Elite Strap δεν χρειάζεται.
Μοναδικό αρνητικό ότι επειδή τώρα εφαρμόζει πολύ καλύτερα το headset, ο ιδρώτας είναι πιο δύσκολο να φύγει και έτσι είναι πιο εύκολο να θολώσουν οι φακοί.
Η μπαταρία επικοινωνεί με το headset και αλλάζει το UI ώστε να δείχνει τη συνολική μπαταρία (headset + strap) και αν πατήσετε πάνω της δείχνει τις επιμέρους μπαταρίες. Επίσης δεν φορτίζει συνέχεια το headset. Στην αρχή νόμιζα ότι ήταν DoA γιατί το σύνδεσα σε headset με 99% μπαταρία και δεν έδειχνε οτι φορτίζει. θέλει να πέσει λίγο η μπαταρία του headset για να αρχίσει να φορτίζει από το strap.
Το χρησιμοποιώ με VR Cover και glasses extender χωρίς πρόβλημα.
Τέλος, καθαρίζει πάρα πολύ πιο εύκολα από το original υφασμάτινο.
