Description

TIK male self-lubricating catheter Greencath Plus 40cm

The TIK male nelaton catheter Greencath Plus facilitates self-catheterization of the bladder. The hydrophilic coating minimizes friction and aids smooth insertion into the urethra. It comes with a packet of sterile water for additional lubrication. It features rounded holes to avoid irritation.

Made from 100% silicone, the catheter is soft and designed to be gentle on the delicate urethral tissue. It has an ultra-soft outer layer for maximum comfort, a stable middle layer for easier handling, and a flexible inner layer for easier navigation. The catheter's hydrophilic coating allows for insertion and removal without significant friction. The insertion cover allows for a firm grip on the catheter without contact with its surface, minimizing the risk of infection.

Intermittent catheterizations in general

Intermittent catheterizations (Clean Intermittent Catheterization - CIC) are used by female and male patients, of any age, with problems in storing and voiding the bladder. A thin, flexible catheter is led through the urethra into the bladder. We empty the bladder and carefully remove the catheter. Intermittent catheterizations are a recognized treatment for ensuring urinary continence and maintaining the kidneys in the best possible condition.

In which cases are intermittent catheterizations indicated:

  • Neurogenic bladder
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Spinal cord injuries (paraplegia, etc.)
  • Myelodysplastic syndromes
  • Peripheral neuropathy from various causes (e.g., diabetes)
  • Atonic bladder
  • Patients with urine drainage problems, e.g., prostate hyperplasia
  • After surgeries that require CIC
