This book deals with the main biotypes of the vine that are found in Greece and are intended for the production of wine-related products, as well as the various species of the grape family (Vitaceae) that are indirectly involved in vine cultivation.

It complements knowledge related to the broader field of Viticulture, with methods for distinguishing and identifying the various biotypes of the vine according to the codes of the International Organization of Vine and Wine, the use of molecular markers, and the properties of various rootstocks and production varieties.
