Construction: The steel frames have a flawless finish. The addition of methacrylate fronts enhances their aesthetics while offering significant ergonomics, thanks to an impressive vu-meter. The internal layout is rational and divided into sections. This logical arrangement of the various subsystems is accompanied by the selection of quality components, soldered on separate boards and separated by function.

The X-A220EVO owes its thickness to the height of the generously sized power heatsink.

The X-A220EVO features a 700 VA toroidal transformer. After rectification, four 10,000 µF / 80 V capacitors smooth the DC current. An NE5532 amplifier appears on the input board with a balance/unbalanced switch. The power stages require a triple push-pull of complementary NJW0281G / NJW0302G transistors, delivering up to 220 W / 8 ohms in class AB. The amplifier can operate in two modes accessible via a switch: when the High Bias mode is activated, the X-A220EVO operates in "class A" for the first watts and then automatically switches to class AB.
