Since the death of Andreas G. Papandreou in 1996, all Greek governments have been leading a dramatic historical movement of decline and devastation of the society and national economy of the country: an illusory economic growth based on pathological stock market and consumption patterns and services, mismanagement and huge public and private debt, memorandums of subjugation and servitude, a massive demographic crisis, and emigration of at least 500,000 young people.

At the same time, there is a continuous and structured submissiveness of the political elites of the country towards all the historical-strategic demands of Turkey regarding the Republic of Cyprus, the Aegean, and Thrace. This study historically explains why this is happening, provides evidence of the spectacular rise of the Turkish economy compared to that of Greece, and defines Turkey as a regional imperialist power (sub-imperialism), as it exports both significant capital and power.

At the same time, through a fictional dialogue developed between Ahmet Davutoğlu and Panagiotis Kondylis, it addresses key questions regarding what Greece should do in order to pave the way for a different developmental socio-economic model, as well as a credible deterrence against Turkish aggression in the Aegean, Thrace, and Cyprus.
