The Pioneer VSX-LX505 Home Cinema receiver drives 9.2 channels and supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X decoding, as well as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. Dirac Live Room Correction and Advanced MCACC technologies tailor the sound to the room and speakers, while Reflex Optimizer adjusts Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers. It supports HDMI 2.1 with video up to 8K and VRR, ALLM, QFT, DSC and QMS features, as well as HDR10+, HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision.

For playback and streaming, it supports AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, TuneIn, Spotify, TIDAL, Deezer and Amazon Music. Two-way Bluetooth connectivity lets you stream audio to the receiver and send its audio to compatible wireless headphones. Pre-out connections allow you to expand the system, while zone outputs support playback in other rooms.
