Wet a clean cloth or sponge with warm water and add 1 to 2 drops of mild dish soap. Then, gently wipe the placemat with the cloth to remove any dirt or food residue. Rinse with water.
Once you have finished cleaning, let it dry, use a clean cloth to absorb the water. Do not rub or wring it, as this may damage the placemat. Do not place it in the washing machine or dryer.
If there are persistent stains, you can use white vinegar. Mix 1 part white vinegar with 1 part water, wet a clean cloth with the solution, and wipe.
