Description

During the weekly evening talks I held at the Spiritual Center of the Parish of the Holy Apostles in Thessaloniki throughout my pastoral ministry, I used the sacred history of the Old Testament as a foundation from 1991 to 1996.

In this series of talks, I tried to provide a systematic exposition of the events narrated in the books of the Old Testament, from the creation of the world until the incarnation of our Lord Jesus Christ. My goal, of course, was not simply to present the events, but to highlight the doctrinal and moral lessons that these events offer, and also to help the listeners understand how God was preparing the world for the reception of the Savior and the acceptance of salvation through them.

The interest with which the listeners attended these talks encouraged me to make them public, so that both those who heard them could recall them, and beyond the necessarily limited number of listeners, many more readers would have the opportunity to learn about the events of sacred history, which constitute a fundamental chapter of the knowledge that every Christian should possess.
