The significant amendments of Law 4855/2021 to the penal codes led to the third edition of the work, in which all the amendments of the two codes up to Law 4871/2021 have been incorporated, so that the work constitutes the first fully updated and comprehensive edition, including, at the same time, rich material that contributes to the understanding of the interpretation and purpose of the new regulations.

The work includes a plethora of comments that are systematically presented by article. Specifically, it includes the texts of the corresponding Explanatory Reports, which, due to the particularly analytical way of presenting all the new institutions and justifying the choices of the Committees, will be a useful tool for the implementation of the new codes and the approach to interpretive issues that will arise in practice. Additionally, the edition is accompanied by detailed indexes, tables of jurisdiction of the Single-Member and Three-Member Misdemeanor Courts, and tables of correspondence between the provisions of the abolished codes and those of the new codes, with the aim of facilitating easy and immediate supervision of the subject matter of the new legislation.
