Do not listen to those who talk about the battery. They are clueless. Disable 5G, use only 4G+, and the 120 Hz, and at the end of the day, you have 40% battery with moderate to heavy usage. The phone is fine

Coming from a Huawei P20 that I had for 5 years and unfortunately the battery started to deteriorate and probably because of that it started to restart frequently. But other than that, the phone was great. Unfortunately, due to Google Services, I couldn't go back to Huawei. So the next choice, being an Android user, was Samsung, a view I formed while working in a technology store for several years. I was torn between the S21FE (good reviews from people who had it and of course Snapdragon...) and the S22 which was on sale. I ended up going for the flagship, so let's get to the evaluation... It's not worth the money.... I got the 256GB for 600 euros instead of the current price of 750-760. However, it's not worth it. Actually, it's worth it if you're really interested in the camera. That's where it excels. It's a fast phone, although I don't trust the Exynos and it's already getting quite hot in a month. It also has a great screen and sound. And that's where the good things end. The battery is a curse. With moderate use, it lasts a day, with heavier use, not even a day, and fast charging takes 1 hour and something. The fingerprint sensor (with a glass protector) is terrible.... If I've tried to unlock it 100 times, 90 times it didn't unlock and I made multiple attempts to get it to work. And I'm someone who used it a lot for unlocking, apps, and bank payments on Huawei and it worked effortlessly. It's a 2017 phone, right? The face recognition is also tragic... I've tried two different face scans and it struggles a lot to recognize. Well, let's not even talk about it at night... Also, something that worked effortlessly on the P20. In short, I won't say it's garbage or that it doesn't perform my tasks to a great extent. Also, because I have a newborn at home, I've taken some amazing photos and videos. But let me put it simply... If someone told me they would buy it for 500 euros (1 month old phone), I would sell it and go buy the S21FE or go buy a Huawei and deal with the workaround they have done for Google. At least I would have peace of mind...

I have had it for a month now. I change my phone every 2 years. It replaced the S20, which had replaced the S9. As with any purchase, one must know why they are making it. So, I can speak about the S20, not all phones on the market, and some things you already know don't make sense. It's a shame we lost the SD card, but that was known before the purchase.

I should note that I don't play games and I am quite interested in photography.

So, the improvements I see compared to the S20 are:

- Much better fingerprint sensor
- Better screen - especially in light (you know what screens Samsung produces, I wonder how they improve them)
- Clearly faster
- Better camera setup
- Much better battery

I want to explain the last two a little better.

For the camera: The front camera is very good, clearly better than the S20, both in video and photo. The main camera is better, while the 3x is optical compared to the hybrid of the S20 and has better autofocus.

The 8K comes from the main camera - with stabilization!!! - but I don't have an 8K screen to see it on.

For those who know:

In terms of video stabilization, it is clearly better than a Sony a6300 with stabilized lenses (OS). The quality is very close to everything up to a certain size. When you see anything on the 32-inch 4k monitor I have, then the Sony soars with the naturalness of the optics. There, the S22 looks digital.

Now, the battery is fine for me - easily a day with my usage. Everything is open, payments, Garmin permanently, photos, videos, browsing at reasonable levels, and also driving at least 1.30 hours per day, with the phone automatically connecting to Android Auto in the car's multimedia device.

Apart from that, we have everything a flagship should have:

Build quality, impeccable Samsung software, very good signal, Wi-Fi, GPS, amazing connectivity with devices, as well as with Windows. Music output is exceptional, what can I say, it doesn't lag behind anywhere.

So, everything good then?

It presents me with something that I will not cut a star for at the moment, I hope for a fix.

With Android Auto and GPS on a trip to Patras, the phone turned on and stopped its basic functions. It did it again within Athens, we're talking about a lot of lag. I hope for a fix. (with the S20, I went to Thessaloniki comfortably)

In conclusion:

If someone focuses only on the battery after all this, it is logical to look elsewhere - and probably at a different size.

If, on the other hand, you have that money, want the Android ecosystem, want something that doesn't lag behind anywhere, does everything from very good to top-notch, and are one of the few who believe that size (doesn't) matter, want a real compact phone with today's standards, then somewhere on its amazing screen, your name is written...

Coming from a Huawei P20 that I had for 5 years and unfortunately the battery started to deteriorate and probably because of that it started to restart frequently. But other than that, the phone was great. Unfortunately, due to Google Services, I couldn't go back to Huawei. So the next choice, being an Android user, was Samsung, a view I formed while working in a technology store for several years. I was torn between the S21FE (good reviews from people who had it and of course Snapdragon...) and the S22 which was on sale. I ended up going for the flagship, so let's get to the evaluation... It's not worth the money.... I got the 256GB for 600 euros instead of the current price of 750-760. However, it's not worth it. Actually, it's worth it if you're really interested in the camera. That's where it excels. It's a fast phone, although I don't trust the Exynos and it's already getting quite hot in a month. It also has a great screen and sound. And that's where the good things end. The battery is a curse. With moderate use, it lasts a day, with heavier use, not even a day, and fast charging takes 1 hour and something. The fingerprint sensor (with a glass protector) is terrible.... If I've tried to unlock it 100 times, 90 times it didn't unlock and I made multiple attempts to get it to work. And I'm someone who used it a lot for unlocking, apps, and bank payments on Huawei and it worked effortlessly. It's a 2017 phone, right? The face recognition is also tragic... I've tried two different face scans and it struggles a lot to recognize. Well, let's not even talk about it at night... Also, something that worked effortlessly on the P20. In short, I won't say it's garbage or that it doesn't perform my tasks to a great extent. Also, because I have a newborn at home, I've taken some amazing photos and videos. But let me put it simply... If someone told me they would buy it for 500 euros (1 month old phone), I would sell it and go buy the S21FE or go buy a Huawei and deal with the workaround they have done for Google. At least I would have peace of mind...

Personally, I use it for TikTok and Instagram and it lasts me just fine until the evening... Now, for those of you who want to charge it 3 times a day, I really don't know... Do you ever put it down?
