    Update: Minimal use (I've split maybe 20-25 logs). After a clumsy hit—not even with much force—where the handle of the axe hit the wood I was about to split, a crack appeared in the handle at the point where it joins the head. Now the axe is dangerous to use and unfortunately, in my case, it seems that the saying 'cheap ends up expensive' is true—since I have to replace it. Now, I'm thinking of turning to a higher quality brand (e.g. Fiskars) with the corresponding extra cost, of course.
