You do not need lubrication for these stones, but you can wash it occasionally with water and liquid soap. A leather case is included.

If your knife is very dull, we recommend starting with a DC 4. If you are interested in polishing edges, start with the dark side of the ceramic stone and finish with the extremely fine white ceramic side of the stone. Do not use water or oil.

How to check sharpness:

  • To check the sharpness of your knife, lightly drag the edge across your fingernail.
  • If it cuts, the knife is certainly sharp enough for most tasks.
