The Smartek C03G0070333 solar insect lamp operates using a high-voltage grid and offers two modes: attracting and eliminating insects with blue LEDs, or illuminating the surroundings with a white LED. It turns on automatically at dusk and switches off at sunrise, when solar charging begins. It can be placed in the garden using its stake, hung from the metal bracket, or placed on a table.

Its runtime is stated as 8–10 hours of continuous operation during the summer months and 5–7 hours during the winter months, with a charging time of 6 hours. The grid has an IP44 protection rating. It operates on two replaceable AA NiMH rechargeable batteries.
