Well, I bought this one specifically because of the USB, however, if you want to use it for live music, I would recommend one from the same company with more channels but without USB, like the Xenyx-1202, since it is not necessary

    Usage
I use it for audio capture with two XLR mics on a MacBook Pro using OBS for live streaming on YouTube.

    Sound Quality
Apart from a "quirk" that I will mention below, the sound quality is what you would expect. It does not introduce any distortion in the sound, at least not that my ears can detect.

    Build Quality
The knobs are quite sturdy and feel of good quality when turned. I believe they will last.

The overall construction is so-so. It is made of full plastic, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but at this price point, I don't think you can expect much.

    USB
The main reason I bought it is for the USB. This makes the computer recognize it as a "sound card." You can use it as an input as well as an output. Input to pass the sound from mics or another computer, and output to pass the computer's sound to external speakers. Essentially, it does what a sound card with many features would do.

    Features
For this price range, they have included everything,
    - XLR inputs
    - Real-time compressor
    - FX line (although it works a bit strangely)
    - 8 channels!
    - Phantom power for mics that require it
    - Ability to connect mics with an audio jack

But it does not have a power button..... If you want to turn it off, you have to unplug it. I really wonder, after adding so many buttons, they didn't include the simplest button that exists!

    Quirks
For some reason, sometimes during recording, I hear a buzzing sound as if a capacitor is overloaded somewhere. In this case, you have to unplug it from the power and plug it back in. (Remember, it doesn't have an on/off button). Although I suspect it might be the power supply.

Also, the power supply does not have the standard connector. I don't know if it is proprietary or if others use it too. But if it breaks, you can't use your own power supply.

    In conclusion
If you want multiple channels, XLR input, USB connection, and a low price, it is a very good choice.
