The phone is generally very good.. I've had it for a little over 1.5 years.. The only issue was with Google's apps (but you know this before getting a Huawei) because they weren't available initially, and by installing them from clones, you encounter all the known issues! Since yesterday, I deleted most of the ones I had from Gbox and installed them from the App Gallery through MicroG, which I initially installed, and they seem to work perfectly!! I kept Gbox for the Playstore in case something isn't available in the App Gallery and for any updates from there (most of them). However, they no longer run through it. If you've received the 14.2.0 update, it's worth trying it out to enjoy the phone to the fullest!! On the downside, it does heat up quite a bit (especially without a case, you can feel it), and the battery isn't the best for Huawei, but fast charging saves the day..!

It is a nice phone, but it is not as convenient as the p30 pro, which is amazing in everything except the camera - it deteriorated over time.
The camera of the p50 pro is its main asset. Especially the selfie camera, which has a wide option and is very useful for group photos and videos.
It doesn't perform very well in terms of battery life, and it also experiences some minor glitches in games. The screen, in general, is not very impressive - a bit dull.
I use it as a secondary device, but now I only take photos with it.
If you can find it for under 500 euros, it's worth it.

I have been using Huawei for years and I love this particular company... Before the p50 pro, I had the p30 pro, which I don't know if I would have changed if the screen hadn't broken... This particular mobile phone is, as many have said, truly a "gem"... Yes, it takes amazing photos, there is no doubt about it, it has a very good speaker and plays incredibly well, the colors and resolution are unbelievable... The battery lasts quite a while (not too long) depending on usage... With all data open all day, social media usage, and games, I charge it once at night and the next afternoon... It charges really fast indeed... I have had it for about a week and I haven't noticed it getting excessively hot like many have said, under normal circumstances, especially now that the temperature reaches 40+ degrees... However, the negatives are that it doesn't have Google Play, which is a big issue... Yes, if you download gspace, you have everything you had personally, but they don't function properly for me... Apps like YouTube, Winbank, and games don't run correctly, either freezing, being slow, or not opening at all... For example, YouTube either doesn't play or plays for 1 minute and then nothing, only the ads don't freeze... Games like Call of Duty don't even open for me... Additionally, the package includes the charger but not the headphones, which for me is also a negative... I was eagerly waiting to receive it when I decided to replace my old one, but I think I'm starting to be disappointed with the money I spent and missing the previous one... That's it.

    ⚠️⚠️Comment Update 8/08⚠️⚠️
Now I also notice fast battery consumption and slow charging, it took a whole day to charge it from morning to night, which is unacceptable for such a phone.
Also, since 28/07, my Gmail stopped updating and a few days before that, I wasn't receiving any emails... I updated it, downloaded it again, and still nothing, I have to check them through the browser.
Finally, games that I couldn't play, I downloaded "App info: Store info" and updated them from there, and they work normally... (only Golden Opportunity still doesn't work)
If you want a mobile phone only for flawless photos, I highly recommend it, otherwise, think about it very well.

I have had this mobile phone since the summer of 2022, and for many, it seems strange that it supports the Snapdragon 888 processor, which we have seen in older models. Of course, the phone is a 2021 model, but it was released in Europe in 2022. Additionally, just like with newer models, Qualcomm releases later processors in a 4G version, so Huawei cannot have access to the latest generation processor due to 5G. It is known that the Snapdragon 888 is power-hungry and raises temperatures, just like the Snapdragon 8 generation 1. As for the cameras, the mobile phone is excellent. If someone likes the P50 Pro but is afraid to get it due to the temperature, they can go for the Mate 50 Pro, which supports the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, which is much more improved than the regular one. Additionally, for fast charging, when you plug the charger into the socket, there is an indication on the mobile phone for even faster charging. This feature exists according to the penultimate update.

As for Google Play, there is G-Space, which allows you to have 90% of the applications from Google Play. Recently, they also created G-Box, which allows you to have access to Google Maps with a regular email connection. As for Google Pay, there is currently no functionality. However, you can use applications like Curve Card or Winbank, which work normally. There is also a regular security update every end of the month.

    15/9/2023
Apart from G-Space, there is now also the G-Box application, which you can download from the App Gallery or the application itself. If you type "goofle jboxlab.com," you can install G-Box Pro, which has Google Play, just like G-Space, but with the difference that it is less power-hungry and without bugs.

    23/9/2023
With the latest update, it also received the WMUI13 version, which makes turbo fast charging automatic. Also, to charge faster, make sure the mobile phone is not hot. Because charging will be delayed, and it is logical so as not to increase the temperature further and damage the battery.

    18/11/2023
With the upgrade to EMUI 13.0.0 in August 2023, the battery health has improved. It does not drain at all, and there is the option of turbo charging, not just fast charging from the previous software version. Even with performance mode, there is no noticeable battery drop (personal opinion).

    21/7/2024
In case of excessive temperature, the mobile phone may take blurry photos.

Owner since August 22nd. Perfect flagship mobile in every way! You should know that anyone experiencing temperature issues or fast battery consumption is not normal. Contact Huawei and within a week you can send it in and they will return it to you like new without any expenses, not even for shipping. I experienced this along with a screen problem. Immediate replacement without any hassle. They have excellent customer service and immediate service!

    Verified purchase

Through gspace, I have made transactions with banks that are not in the Huawei store. To make it work, I first open the bank application that I downloaded through gspace, and then complete the transaction through Chrome, still using the application downloaded from gspace. The identification works properly, so the banks work normally. However, I cannot find a way to make Google Wallet work for contactless transactions from my phone using NFC. For that, I need the Curve application that Huawei collaborates with, where I can authenticate and add my cards to make contactless transactions through my phone using NFC.

€1,100 for a phone... without Google Services, without 5G, with a battery that lasts half a day, and the infamous 888 processor that, if you get a second identical device, can form a toaster under specific usage conditions... This is the swan song of the long-injured Huawei, and it shows. Now that Leica has changed ships, the situation will worsen even more... A tragedy for the entire world of Android mobile phones, as Huawei was the one paving the way (especially in the world of photography) and others were forced to follow. Now, they are left alone, with Samsung selling at exorbitant prices, and the rest making fashionably fake flagships for mass consumption. Tested and rejected within 12 hours. If you have the money to spare just to show it off or to play while connected to the charger, it's fine (I'm not mentioning the photographic capabilities that are on par with the P40). But if you need it for professional use, choose anything else! (The writer is a loyal Huawei user since the P9 era. Later on, I read reviews from abroad that confirm all of the above...)

I will be concise and brief.. Owner of note 20 ultra (snapdragon), OnePlus 9 pro, mi 11 ultra, oppo find x3 pro.. The device (p50 pro) is the best in terms of screen, battery management, speed, sound, feel and grip, and lastly the camera.... We're talking about a pocket-sized mobile dslr!!!! The zoom is out of this world!!!

PS. Your device gives the impression in gold color that I have, that it was purchased from a jewelry store.

I have gone through a thousand troubles to mature with this phone. After its arrival back in my hands, I have to say that the experience with the gbox is at extremely high levels with no operating problems. It's definitely not the same without the official playstore, but it's like having it unofficially at the same time. The battery lasts as it did before, but it doesn't mean it's good, it's average and lasts the day with moderate use. If you push it, you might need a recharge in the afternoon for sure. This 888 fixed the phone. We are expecting to see Kirin again in Huawei phones in 2024. That's when the company's big comeback will happen, as it never gives up. It competes with the devices of 2023, after all, when you get a Huawei, it's like getting an iPhone, meaning you keep it for many years and it's technologically advanced enough to last you at least 3 years. You see, the P30 series is still top-notch. That's why Huawei made it through, it provided technology every year and it was worth changing your old phone because you saw at least some changes at very good prices. You don't know what to get after Huawei, something is missing in everything except for Honor, which has done an amazing job with the Magic 5 Pro. I believe it's an indirect Huawei that truly surpasses everything and it's the only way to go this year for its price. This is for those who want and understand that the official playstore is an excellent choice.
