NATURAL BETA CAROTENE

Natural Beta Carotene derived from the algae Dunaliella salina organically cultivated in saline lakes. Each capsule contains 16 mg of Beta-Carotene, equivalent to 25,000 IU of vitamin A.

PROPERTIES OF BETA CAROTENE

• Beta Carotene is a fat-soluble, antioxidant vitamin widely found in the plant kingdom.
• It is also known as provitamin A because it is converted into vitamin A within the body.
• It is a powerful antioxidant that protects against cancer and some cardiovascular diseases.
• It increases the number of T-cells, thus boosting the immune system.
• The body converts only as much carotene as it needs into vitamin A.

Common use: One capsule per day.

CONTRAINDICATIONS - PRECAUTIONS

• The bodies of diabetics and those suffering from liver diseases face serious difficulties in converting Beta-Carotene into vitamin A.
• Special precautions for patients with underactive thyroid gland.

NOTES

• Beta Carotene may not be useful for preventing lung cancer in smokers.
• Beta-Carotene is quite sensitive to high temperatures, light, and air oxygen.
