Description

A small and magical word is "Thank you" which encompasses a great deal of gratitude. Gratitude nourishes our souls and has been proven to be directly linked to happiness. OX-I lived on a small planet at the edge of our solar system, which had the most beautiful and strange sky! The sky was lit by thousands of bright Flafs, small fluffy celestial bodies that shone from afar. They said that if you caught them, they were very soft and brought real happiness. Oh! How OX-I loved the Flafs! What a pity they were so, so far away… Until one day, a Flaf fell a little further from OX-I's home! How happy he was! His wishes came true! A Flaf of his own! But did the Flaf ultimately make OX-I happy? And what is happiness, after all? A story that comes to show children the power of gratitude. It is a tool and a skill we can use to live in the present, feel more satisfied today, and look optimistically towards the future. If we cultivate this way of thinking in children from a young age, we help them become happier adults. Teaching the value of gratitude is teaching optimism. There are always challenges, blockages, and complications, but the way we face the difficulties that may arise is the true test of mental resilience. The book also includes advice for parents, educators, health professionals, and gratitude exercises from educator Georgia Solomou. "It is not happiness that makes us grateful, but gratitude that makes us happy." David Steindl-Rast
