Neptune krill oil is known for its unique profile as a fatty acid FA, as well as for its rich antioxidant content.
Krill oil is a rich source of Omega 3 from shellfish (Euphasia Superba), a type of zooplankton that lives in the pristine waters of the Antarctic sea. The Omega 3 (EPA/DHA) in Krill is in the form of phospholipids, the same form found in the body's cell membranes, which maximizes absorption while also increasing bioavailability. The oil also contains Astaxanthin, a carotenoid that protects Omega 3 from oxidation.
Omega 3 fatty acids provide EPA and DHA which contribute to the normal function of the heart (Daily intake of 250 mg EPA and DHA). DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function and normal vision (with a daily intake of 250mg DHA).
