Mercola Double Boiled Linseed Oil surface varnish penetrates deep into the wood and replaces the natural oils lost over time. Its special double-boiled treatment provides faster drying and greater durability than raw linseed oil, while leaving a natural satin finish. It moves with the wood as it expands and contracts, without peeling, blistering or cracking.
Suitable for new or bare softwood and hardwood, once old paints and varnishes have been removed, except for oak. It can also be used as a sealer on terracotta tiles and other porous surfaces, such as concrete, before applying wax. It is also suitable for thinning paints, varnishes and traditional oil-based putty, or for making oil-based varnishes and paints.
