Owner of the PSVR2, I have had it for about 7 days and have spent quite a bit of time with it.

I'll start by saying I have issues with certain VR (dizziness, headaches, eye pain, etc.), mainly with the first PSVR where I had a serious problem...

With this particular VR, I have none of these side effects and I feel perfect, as if I never wore it at all...

The feeling on the head is quite good with plenty of adjustments to fit your head as well as your eyes!! Also, the (accordion piece that blocks out the light around you and prevents it from squeezing your eyes and cheeks) is very nice, with the only negative being that when you sweat, the lenses fog up a bit.

The eye tracking is a feature that impressed me a lot; it precisely follows where you look.

Now let's talk about the resolution.

We're talking about incredible clarity in games with OLED, something that even more expensive VR headsets still don't have...

Also, the 'mask' has vibration, and the controllers have all the features of a DualSense.

Now I'll mention my complaint... There are very few game options on the PS Store, and many old and good games haven't received the upgrade from the old PSVR to the PSVR2, which makes the game library for the PSVR2 even smaller. Also, in some games like Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted 2, the resolution was very bad and it became quite tiring on the eyes... It was like you needed to wear glasses to see.

The positive in all this limitation is the PSVR2 PC adapter, which I ordered from Sony Centers (not through Skroutz) and it arrived at my place in 6 days! (It's not readily available anywhere) so I would recommend getting it directly from there!

The PSVR2 PC adapter is honestly the solution to all the negatives I mentioned before! You have countless game options, also very good resolution, and I am thoroughly enjoying it!

In short, for the price I got it for, €400 + €60 for the adapter, it's totally worth it and I would recommend it without hesitation!

It loses one star only because of the game selection on the PS Store, which is minimal and at least for me, doesn't cover my needs

I just bought the bundle with Horizon

I came here and created an account just to share my experience with you. I'm speaking to you as someone who started playing video games in 1982, so I am one of the few who have seen the evolutionary path of this field from the beginning. So this is my experience.

I took it out of the box and expected something much heavier and bulkier; I was amazed when I took it out, it was incredibly light. Its controllers are amazing, made from very good materials, and you get used to them immediately.

The connection to the PlayStation is as simple as it gets, you just plug the cable into the PlayStation and that's it. In fact, the cable is very long and it doesn't pose any problem to the overall experience.

At first, I played No Man's Sky and while it is a very nice game, the VR element wasn't that intense.

Then I downloaded Horizon and guys, I was blown away. You literally step into the game. You look up and it's the sky, you look down and it's the ground, to the right and left you hear birds, you hear waterfalls, you hear the wind, the monsters come at you and you feel a real threat. The mechanism with the arrow and bow feels like you actually have an arrow and bow in your hands, you make the movements just like you would in reality to shoot an arrow with a bow.

When I saw Alloy (the protagonist from the previous title of the game) looking me in the eyes and talking to me, it truly felt like she was right in front of me. In fact, if you make a motion with your hands to touch her face, her hands, etc., she makes a facial expression as if you were about to touch her in reality, like she is surprised, a bit disgusted, or trying to avoid you.

It is the most impressive hardware I have ever acquired in my life. It is truly like a revolution in technology and I have not regretted for a second the money I spent. Also, it is the first time in my life that I am using virtual reality and I haven't felt any dizziness whatsoever, and I have been playing for 2 hours.

Another amazing plus is that with a small adapter, you can connect it to your computer as well. I even read that in terms of technical specifications, it has nothing to envy from even more expensive products from competing companies.

I'm really telling you, if you want an amazing experience in your home and to be left speechless, I wholeheartedly recommend it, you will remember me.

I bought it on Black Friday for 400.
It was my first experience with VR, so I don't have a proper comparison.
For someone who has never worn VR, they will likely experience motion sickness at first, so it's good to play for just a few minutes during the first 2 weeks to help your mind adjust. Also, most games have the Snap turn option, meaning the rotation left and right isn't smooth, which helps tremendously.

As for the VR itself, it's quite nice, but as a novice, I expected something better. For example, the image is never crystal clear, even when you find the sweet spot. I mention this because reviews and videos talked about the crystal-clear image. Also, the image is good only if you look straight ahead; it deteriorates quite a bit when you look up and down and becomes blurry.

Secondly, as a pure device, I think it's worth 400-500 euros, but as a PS VR, given the games, I don't think it's worth more than 200 because while it has nice little games, that's about it; the AAA games are very few, and most aren't anything amazing. For example, Horizon has a boring story; mostly, you're just climbing.

I tried GT; it's nice, but personally, I wasn't blown away.

Another downside is that you can't watch VR movies since it doesn't even have a player.

So in conclusion, as a machine, I would give it 5 stars, but without worthwhile games, it's ridiculous for it to cost more than the console.

If it fills up with good games in the future, then it will be worth quite a bit.

That said, I don't personally regret it; I wanted to see what it's like, and it has its moments.

PS. There is the option to connect to a PC with an official adapter, so if someone wants it for both PS and PC, it might be worth more.

The Playstation VR2 is currently the best gaming VR headset on the market.

A few cautionary words about VR technology. Wearing a VR headset has its positives and negatives. It provides an incredible immersion (some call it "presence") and makes you feel like you're in another world (I should mention that Gran Turismo 7 forced me to take turns slowly as I would in the real world, instead of taking the usual shortcuts and sliding the car out of control). On the other hand, it disconnects you from your surroundings, tires you more quickly than playing on a screen (this is said to be caused by all VR headsets, so don't expect to play for 5-6 hours straight in VR), and can even cause dizziness, nausea, or motion sickness, especially for VR beginners. If you feel even slightly uncomfortable the first or second time, leave it and try again another day, it takes getting used to.

The PSVR2 is a very well-designed device with advanced features. It includes eye tracking (in some games, you aim or select in the menu simply by where you look), haptics in the headset and controllers, adjustable lenses, 3D audio (you can use the included earbuds, a headset, or even listen from the speakers in the room without wearing headphones), and the controllers track your fingers and are lightweight and sturdy, with all the features of the Dualsense except the touchpad. You can play sitting, standing, or with room-scale (meaning you can move in a space of up to 2m x 2m). It's great that it warns you if you're about to hit a wall or furniture. If there's something negative, it's the cable that limits freedom of movement compared to the Quest 2 and other similar VR headsets, but it directly connects to the PS5 and has better graphics than any standalone VR headset.

There are some attraction games (Horizon: Call of the Mountain, Gran Turismo 7, Resident Evil Village, No Man's Sky), some VR classics (Beat Saber, Rez Infinite, Tetris Effect, Moss 1 & 2), and some pleasant surprises (Pistol Whip, Red Matter 2, Pavlov, Before Your Eyes), but the game library is currently lacking. Not only is it a brand new platform and understandably has gaps, but many of the hits from the previous Playstation VR (Iron Man VR, Astro Bot Rescue Mission, Resident Evil 7, Blood and Truth) have not yet been ported and it's unknown if they will be. The same goes for PC games like Half-Life: Alyx, Boneworks, etc. At least we know that Resident Evil 4 VR, Synapse, Among Us VR, Firewall Ultra, Behemoth, etc. are coming. Overall, I am optimistic about the future.

If you're interested in VR and have doubts, you can't understand if it's really for you by watching some trailers on YouTube or reading articles. You have to try it to believe it (or confirm your fears). I had my doubts too, especially considering the price (which is reasonable compared to most gaming VR headsets), but having the PSVR2 in my possession for 3 months, I feel justified in my choice. It's something I had never experienced in gaming before.

First time in VR so I have no point of comparison with anything else..
600 euros is a big investment and exaggeration!
But it's something different and we're not just talking about an accessory!
You're literally inside the game and part of it, you can even move a hanging branch with your hand...
Wherever you look, you see part of the game with a sense of depth!
The first game of choice is Horizon...
You can choose to play standing or sitting, scan the space so you don't hit anything, eye calibration results in many settings being made with your eyes...
The head adjustment is fully customizable and there's no chance of not finding the right position...
Weight that doesn't tire, but the surface doesn't allow for ventilation in a headset, causing some moisture to accumulate...
It looks quality as a construction, but remains to be proven...
The controllers are turned off by holding down the PS button on each controller...
Other games that aren't VR appear as if you're playing on a giant 88'' screen.

Great image quality, very good controls, comfortable resolution and frames, extremely positive eye tracking and lens distance regulator BUT...
I wonder why Sony's designers decided to include the central cable in the headset. In the previous model, those who had issues and were out of warranty simply lost their money because the company did not repair it. I am unlucky because I had to make the first headset work with tie wraps and patents because due to its age, the central cable did not make good contact at the point where it connects to the headset. Sony is unacceptable because they did not solve a problem that disappointed many users. And they did not even try to solve the problem. We just cried for our money if we were affected. You got it and looked for it in the used ones, and with 150 euros, what you found did not suffer from the cable and sensitive lenses. And then the loss was half the money it asks for now (285 euros). Those of us who are brave enough to buy it should keep in mind that this particular problem, WHEN it comes, simply renders the headset useless. It's a shame for Sony to miss the opportunity to show how it respects its customers.
