Summer of 1922. Odysseas is enjoying his vacation in Spetses when suddenly boats full of people appear on the horizon approaching the shore. Who are these people who force him to change his plans and return to Athens? They seem so different, yet when he manages to overcome his turmoil and decides to get to know them better, he realizes that the stories they carry with them are capable of transforming his own life. As for the future, it is hidden only in the vast blue of the sky and the sea. A fantastic encounter of the teenage poet Odysseas Elytis (1911-1996) with a family of Asia Minor refugees sheds abundant optimistic light on the darkest aspects of Greek history but also on the present.
