Description

The "Dictionary" is aimed at Secondary Education students and fellow educators. The primary goal is for this book to assist all those involved in the study of the ancient Greek language.

The selection of verbs was based on their frequency of appearance in Attic prose texts and their presence in Secondary Education textbooks.

- Principal parts, with enclitic substitution for the most commonly used forms.
- Etymology.
- Syntax-Meanings, with particular attention to completeness and accurate interpretative rendering.
- Remarks, referring to any grammatically "difficult" aspects contained in each verb.
- Cognates in Ancient Greek.
- Cognates in Modern Greek.
- Compounds with their meanings. [Thus creating a small dictionary of 2,500 compound verbs].
- Synonyms.
- Antonyms.
- Special phrases.

The "Dictionary" is supplemented by appendices of 1240 verbs, with principal parts, meanings, and syntaxes.
