Note that compared to the old slow device where you leave and return after 4 minutes (750 watts), here you sit and wait just until it's done to take it out perfectly toasted. And as soon as you take it out, leave the device open to let the plates cool down. I hope I helped.

I wanted a toaster for my mother and I wasn't sure what to get because she usually buys the $10 ones, so I went on amazon.com and sorted by rating and this was the first one with many sales and good ratings, so I said #yolo and bought it. It toasts quickly, has a large space so if you have larger bread than average, like ciabatta, it will fit even the XL toast. It has a shape that closes the toast around to keep the ingredients inside, so the only thing I clean is the crumbs from toasting. Also, the top and bottom plates are close to each other but they don't press to become a sandwich. We've had it for less than a month, if anything changes I will add to the comment but it seems like it was a good choice and it wasn't $50 or $100, it was a reasonable price for good performance
