You can never judge an external hard drive by the first few months of use because its main feature (should be) reliability. Speed and build quality matter, but the most important thing is its proper operation over time. This particular drive is built like a tank and has very large external dimensions due to the reinforcements for impact resistance. It is the only drive I have bought (and I have bought many from all companies) that just barely fits in the external carrying case. Even the USB port is covered by an integrated plastic cap. Its cable – which is USB-A on both ends – fits into slots in the external casing and is secured for transport along with the drive. However, to fit, it is very short and also adds bulk. I believe the first thing one should do is order a longer cable. However, I have only found cables with USB-male connectors on both sides in USB 3.0 protocol and not 3.2, which is the drive’s specification for maximum transfer speed. Operation is practically silent. The drive is quite fast and – at first impression, with great reservation – inspires confidence. I will return with updates. However, DO NOT TRUST HARD DRIVES 100%. Always make backups. I bought 2 together and make copies. I have been burned more than a few times and I can’t afford it anymore. So when we talk about buying an external hard drive, we essentially mean buying 2 pieces. Also: the capacity is approximate. Two drives (from different companies) never have the same capacity. So don’t expect one to hold exactly what the other does, and in fact, the differences are several GB. Do not fill the drives to the full to avoid problems, always leave some GB free.
P.S. The price of the drive has skyrocketed: from €150 (purchase 25/07/2025) to €180 (purchase 01/11/2025) to €190 (02/12/2025) to €200 (15/12/2025) and today (28/03/2026) to €240. That is, in 8 months, an increase of 60% (!!!) and it continues. So now that I want another drive, with great regret, I will look for another one.

Πάντως ΜΗΝ ΕΜΠΙΣΤΕΥΕΣΤΕ 100% ΤΟΥΣ ΣΚΛΗΡΟΥΣ ΔΙΣΚΟΥΣ. Πάντα να κάνετε backup. Εγώ πήρα 2 μαζί και κάνω αντίγραφα. Την έχω πατήσει ουκ ολίγες φορές και δεν με παίρνει πλέον. Αρα όταν μιλάμε για αγορά εξωτερικού σκληρου δίσκου ενοούμε στην ουσία την αγορά 2 κομματιών. Επίσης: η χωρητικότητα είναι κατά προσέγγιση. Ποτέ δυο δίσκοι (από διαφορετικές εταιρείες) δεν έχουν την ίδια χωρητικότητα. Επομένως μην περιμένετε να χωράει ο ένας ακριβώς ότι και ο άλλος και μάλιστα οι διαφορές είναι αρκετά gb. Μη γεμίζετε τους δίσκους στο full για να μην έχετε προβλήματα, αφήνετε πάντα κάποια gb ελεύθερα.
ΥΓ Η τιμή του δίσκου έχει απογειωθεί: από 150 € (αγορά 25/07/2025) σε 180 € (αγορά 01/11/2025) σε 190 € (02/12/2025) σε 200 € (15/12/2025) και σήμερα (28/03/2026) σε 240 €. δηλ. σε 8 μήνες αύξηση 60% (!!!) και έπεται συνέχεια. Αρα τώρα που θέλω ακόμα έναν δίσκο, με μεγάλη μου λύπη, θα ψάξω για άλλον.

Max 120MB/s Write seems to be. Generally, I believe it's the best in External HDDs.
