I have the TCL 306 (3GB/32GB) for about a year and a half. Compared to my previous smartphone, a small Chinese brand, the TCL 306 (3GB/32GB) is more "loaded" in memory, so it's expected to be faster in operation.
However:
• The Android environment, although more advanced than that of my previous phone, is worse, so much time has passed, and in the details—because when we talk about Android versions, details matter—the Android on the TCL 306 is worse than the previous one I had. And this is a significant minus.
• TCL, like all brands, periodically does automated system updates that contribute to the good functioning of the devices. For about three months now, in the last update it tries to do automatically, it fails to complete it, so it stopped doing the system update. When I say it can't complete it, I mean it downloads the update files, and then it should install them, so it starts, 1%, 2%, 5%, 22%, 57%, 80%, 99% and then message fail. It can't complete the installation. I contacted TCL customer care, which is a big Chinese brand, they told me to do something with security log in and intervene in the system setting, which didn't work, then they told me to install some app on my laptop, and then by connecting the laptop and smartphone, to do the update that the device can't complete on its own, but I noticed that if I finally ran this process, it would do a system reset to factory settings, so I would probably lose some things I have on the smartphone, since in the last transfer I did from the previous one to this one, I used a relevant data transfer app, it transferred my contacts, photos, but not all the apps I had, and I had to reload them, log in again to the apps that required it, and generally, it was a process I don't want to go through again.
So I told TCL Customer Care that I can't proceed with this, because it will do a factory reset, and I don't consider it a solution.
Although technically it is faster than my previous phone, at the software level I notice issues that may be serious, and no solutions are given. This makes its use less enjoyable compared to my previous phone, even though it was slower than the TCL 306.
Also lately, its touchscreen seems to have developed some kind of hypersensitivity, which is bad, because when I scroll something down, it enters points with links, when it shouldn't—in other words, previously when it didn't show this hypersensitivity, I could scroll the screen down without entering links I didn't want, while if I wanted to, I would tap the links and enter. Now, as soon as my finger barely touches, it enters the links without me wanting to, and of course, this hypersensitivity is particularly annoying, because I have to constantly press Back.
The TCL 306 rather disappoints me, and I can say that when I need to change my phone, because I only change them if there is a serious reason, e.g. I had to change my previous one because it was 3G and would no longer be supported - and given that I have found that TCL has not provided solutions, it makes me believe that this will be the case with all its products, and therefore it is most likely that when I need to buy a new phone, it will never be a TCL brand.
[edit 12/12/25] I used to think that the lack of system updates did not harm me, in the sense that I was just missing out on some, at least theoretically, improvements. Over time, in the last six months based on the edit date, I found that the incomplete system updates were causing hidden damage. Why? Because every time it tried to update unsuccessfully, part of the memory filled up with some, as I discovered, hidden files that you can't see, can't find with any search, and can't delete. Result: the memory filled up, and the device, having no memory, started cutting off even important functions on its own, such as wifi, plus I no longer had memory space, not even to take a few photos.
In this new situation, and in order not to throw away the phone and buy a new one, I ended up with the last resort: to do a factory reset, which restores it to factory settings, as if it were new. I did, I re-imported my Contacts via Google Account, and reinstalled the apps I wanted. I thought that now, due to the Hard Reset, it would have also received the latest software updates. Its memory was restored and from 98% full before the Hard Reset, it returned to a normal 70%. And just when I thought the whole issue was over, even with the hassle of the Hard Reset, after a day, it shows that it's doing a system update - I thought it would work now, since it was like new and had plenty of free memory, but it does the downloading, then the installation, but when it reaches a high percentage, it again shows the message that it "Failed"!!
Do you understand??? Complete disappointment. The same thing again. The system updates that you can't avoid, fail, and gradually start "eating up" the phone's memory, you can't find these essentially useless files and delete them regularly so that the memory is not affected, and gradually the memory will fill up again, making the phone essentially useless.
I did everything I could not to burden the memory myself with extras, e.g. the photos I take, instead of being stored on the device's memory, I store them on Google Photos and regularly clean the RAM, etc. I estimate that this way, the phone will last me about another two years. But when its memory fills up again, I will not do another Hard Reset because it is a hassle. I will change it, throw it in recycling, and replace it.
I note that again, I contacted TCL, and asked them that if my device had a software problem that gradually rendered it useless, this was their fault, and they should replace it for free with the same one that does not have this problem or with another similar one. Because it was clearly their fault. Their software in the system updates, since it fails and gradually fills up the memory, works in a way like a "cancer" that gradually increases and reaches a point where it damages the device. I told them all this, in detail, but they completely ignored me.
This is the TCL brand, this is the quality it has and this is how it treats its customers, even in cases of its own substantial mistakes.
Car manufacturers, when they find a serious fault in their models, even if the warranty period has expired, do a recall and fix it for free.
Do you believe that the very serious fault I described concerned only my device or all TCL 306s, if not all TCL smartphones, since we are talking about their special software that "fits" on top of Android? I mentioned all this to TCL, and they completely ignored me, did not respond, and did not satisfy my request, that is, if only my device was problematic, to replace it with a non-problematic one. Or maybe they didn't agree to replace it with a new TCL 306 device because that one would also be problematic?
This is TCL in smartphones, seemingly a big company, but in practice, the software they make cannot communicate properly with the device they have designed, and that's why updates fail and create problems in the long run.
That's why, from 3 stars, I am lowering my rating to 1 star.

Έχω το TCL 306 (3GB/32 GB) περίπου ενάμισι χρόνο. Σε σχέση με το προηγούμενο smartphone που είχα, μικρό κινέζικο brand, το TCL 306 (3GB/32 GB) είναι πιο "φορτωμένο" σε μνήμη, οπότε αναμενόμενο να είναι ταχύτερο στην λειτουργία του.
Όμως:
• Το περιβάλλον android και παρόλο που είναι πιο προγμένο, από αυτό του προηγούμενου κινητού μου, είναι χειρότερο, έχει περάσει τόσο καιρός, και στις λεπτομέρειες διότι ούτως ή άλλως όταν μιλάμε για εκδόσεις του android, λεπτομέρειες παίζουν, το android λοιπόν του TCL 306 είναι χειρότερο του προηγιύμενου που είχα. Και αυτό είναι σημαντικό μείον.
• Το TCL όπως όλα τα brands, κάνουν ανά καιρούς, αυτοματοποιημένα system updates, που συμβάλλουν στην καλή λειτουργία των συσκευών. Εδώ και κανά τρίμηνο στην τελευταία ανανέωση που κάνει αυτόματα, δεν καταφέρνει να την ολοκληρώσει, οπότε έπαψε να κάνει το system update. Όταν λέω ότι δεν μπορεί να την ολοκληρώσει, εννοώ ότι κάνει download τα αρχεία update, και αμέσως μετά πρέπει να τα κάνει install, ξεκινάει λοιπόν, 1%, 2%, 5%, 22%, 57%, 80%, 99% και μετά μήνυμα fail. Δεν μπορεί να ολοκληρώσει το installation. Επικοινώνησα σχετικά με το customer care της TCL, που είναι μεγάλη κινέζικη μπράντα, μου είπαν να κάνω κάτι με security log in και παρέμβαση μου στο system setting, που δεν πέτυχε, μετά μου είπαν να εγκαταστήσω κάποιο app στο laptop μου, και μετά συνδέοντας laptop και smartphone, να κάνω το update που η συσκευή δεν μπορεί να ολοκληρώσει μόνη της, αλλά πρόσεξα, ότι εάν τελικά έτρεχα αυτή την διαδικασία, θα γίνονταν system reset σε εργοστασιακές ρυθμίσεις, άρα πιθανότητα θα έχανα κάποια πράγματα που έχω στο smartphone, αφού στην τελευταία μεταφορά που έκανα από το προηγούμενο σε αυτό, χρησιμοποίησα μεν μια σχετική app μεταφοράς των δεδομένων, μου μετέφερε τις επαφές, τις φωτό, αλλά δεν μετέφερε όλα τα app που είχα, και έπρεπε να τα ξαναφορτώσω, να ξανακάνω log in στα apps που απαιτούσαν αυτό, και γενικότερα, ήταν μια διαδικασία που δεν θέλω να την ξαναπεράσω.
Είπα λοιπόν στο Customer Care της TCL, ότι αυτό δεν μπορώ να το προχωρήσω, διότι θα κάνει επαναναφορά στις εργοαστσιακές ρυθμίσεις, και δεν την θεωρώ λύση.
Αν και τεχνικά είναι ταχύτερο από το προηγούμενο κινητό μου, ωστόσο σε επίπεδο software διαπιστώνω θεματάκια, που ενδεχομένως είναι σοβαρά, και δεν δίδονται και λύσεις. Αυτό, καθιστά την χρήση του, λιγότερο απολαυστική, σε σχέση με το προηγούμενο κινητό μου, παρόλο που ήταν πιο αργό από το TCL 306.
Επίσης τώρα τελευταία, η οθόνη αφής του, δείχνει σαν να απέκτησε μια κάποια υπερ-ευαισθησία, που είναι κακό, διότι όταν σκρολάρω κάτι προς τα κάτω, μπαίνει σε σημεία που έχει συνδέσμους, ενώ δεν θα έπρεπε - δηλαδή παλαιότερα που δεν έδειχνει αυτή την υπερευαισθησία, μπορούσα να σκρολάρω την οθόνη, και πήγαινα προς τα κάτω, χωρίς να μπαίνω στους συνδέσμους που δεν ήθελα, ενώ εάν ήθελα, πατούσα στους συνδέσμους και έμπαινα. Τώρα με το που ακουμπάει το δάκτυλο ανεπαίσθητα, μπαίνει στους συνδέσμους χωρίς να το θέλω, και βέβαια αυτή η υπερ-ευαισθησία, είναι ιδιαίτερα ενοχλητική, διότι πρέπει να πατάω συνεχώς το Πίσω.
Το TCL 306 μάλλον με απογοητεύει, και μπορώ να πω, ότι όταν χρειαστώ να αλλάξω το κινητό, διότι τα αλλάζω μόνο εάν υπάρχει σοβαρός λόγος, π.χ. το προηγούμενο που είχα τα άλλαξα αναγκαστικά διότι ήταν 3G και θα έπαυε να υπσοτηρίζεται - και δεδομένου ότι έχω διπιστώσει ότι η TCL δεν έχει δώσει λύσεις, με κάνει να πιστεύω, ότι έτσι θα είναι σε όλα τα προϊόντα της, και επομένως το πιθανότερο είναι ότι όταν χρειαστεί να ξαναγοράσω κινητό, δεν θα είναι ποτέ, μάρκας TCL.
[edit 12/12/25] Θεωρούσα ότι που δεν γίνονταν τα system updates, ότι δεν μου έκανε και ζημιά, υπό την έννοια ότι δεν ελάμβανα κάποιες τουλάχιστον θεωρητικά βελτιώσεις. Στην πορεία, στο τελευταίο εξάμηνο βάσει της ημερομηνίας edit, διαπίστωσα ότι η μη ολοκλήρωση των system updates, μου έκανε αφανή ζημιά. Γιατί? Διότι κάθε φορά που προσπαθούσε να κάνει update ανεπιτυχώς, ένα μέρος της μνήμης, γέμιζε με κάποια, όπως διαπίστωσε κρυφά αρχεία, που δεν τα βλέπεις, δεν μπορείς να τα βρεις με κάποια αναζήτηση και δεν μπορείς να τα σβύσεις. Αποτέλεσμα: η μνήμη γέμισε, και η συσκευή μη έχοντας μνήμη, άρχισε να κόβει από μόνη της έως και σημαντικές δραστηριότητες, όπως π.χ. wifi, συν ότι δεν είχα πλέον χώρο μνήμης, ούτε για να βγάζω ελάχιστες φωτό.
Υπό αυτή την νέα κατάσταση, και προκειμένου να πετάξω το τηλέφωνο και να πάρω καινούργιο, κατέληξα στην ύστατη λύση: Να κάνω factory reset, που επανέρχεται στις εργοστασιακές ρυθμίσεις, σαν να είναι καινούργιο. Έκανα, ξαναπέρασα μέσω Google Account τις Επαφές μου, και εγκατέστησα πάλι τα app που ήθελα. Νόμισα ότι τώρα, λόγω του Hard Reset, θα πήρε στο λογισμικό του και τις τελευταίες ενημερώσεις. Η μνήμη του επανήλθε και από 98% που ήταν πλήρης πριν το Hard Reset, επανήλθε σε ένα φυσιολογικό 70%. Και εκεί που θεώρησα ότι το όλο θέμα τελείωσε, έστω με την ταλαιπωρία του Hard Reset, μετά από μια μέρα, βγάζει ότι κάνει system update - εγώ θεώρησα ότι τώρα θα το έκανε, διότι ήταν σαν καινούργιο και είχε και μνήμη άφθονη ελεύθερη, αλλά κάνει το downloading, μετά κάνει το installation αλλά όταν φθάνει σε κάποιο υψηλό ποσοστό, βγάζει πάλι το μήνυμα ότι "Απέτυχε"!!
Καταλαβαίνετε;;; Πλήρης απογοήτευση. Ξανά τα ίδια. Τα systems updates που δεν μπορείς να τα αποφύγεις, γίνονται ανεπιτυχώς, και σιγά - σιγά αρχίζουν και "τρώνε" από την μνήμη του κινητού, δεν μπορείς να βρεις αυτά τα ουσία άχρηστα αρχεία και να τα σβύνεις τακτικά έτσι ώστε να μην επηρεαστεί η μνήμη, και σταδιακά η μνήμη θα γεμίσει ξανά, καθιστώντας το τηλέφωνο ουσία άχρηστο.
Έκανα ό,τι μπορώ για να μην επιβαρύνω την μνήμη εγώ με πρόσθετα, π.χ. τις φωτό ππου βγάζω, αντί να αποθηκεύονται στην μνήμη της συσκευής, τις αποθηκεύω στο google photos και κάνω τακτικά καθαρισμό RAM κλπ. Υπολογίζω ότι έτσι, το κινητό θα μου βγάλει περίπου άλλη μια διετία. Όταν όμως η μνήμη του ξαναγεμίσει, δεν θα κάνω ξανά Hard Reset διότι είναι ταλαιπωρία. Θα το αλλάξω, θα το πετάξω στην ανακύκλωση και θα το αντικαταστήσω.
Σημειώνω ότι ξανά, επικοινώνησα με την TCL, και τους ζήτησα ότι εάν η συσκευή μου είχε ένα λογισμικό πρόβλημα που σιγά - σιγά την καθιστούσε άχρηστη, αυτό ήταν δικό της σφάλμα, και θα έπρεπε να μου την αντικαταταστήσουν δωρεάν με μια ίδια που να μην παρουσιάζει όμως αυτό το πρόβλημα ή με μια άλλη παρόμοια. Διότι οφείλονταν σε καθαρά δικό τους σφάλμα. Το λογισμικό τους στα system updates, αφού αποτυγχάνει και σιγά - σιγά γεμίζει την μνήμη του, λειτουργεί τρόπον τινά, σαν ένας "καρκίνος" που σταδιακά αυξάνει και φτάνει σε ένα σημείο που κάνει ζημιά στην συσκευή. Τους τα είπα όλα αυτά, αναλυτικά, αλλά με "έγραψαν" κανονικά.
Αυτή είναι η μάρκα TCL, αυτή την ποιότητα έχει και έτσι συμπεριφέρεται στους πελάτες της, ακόμα και σε περιπτώσεις ουσιαστικών δικών της σφαλμάτων.
Οι αυτοκινητοβιομηχανίες, όταν δουν ότι στα μοντέλα τους εντοπίζουν ένα σοβαρό σφάλμα, ακόμα και εάν έχει περάσει η περίοδος Εγγύησης, κάνουν recall και το φτιάχνουν δωρεάν.
Πιστεύετε ότι το σοβαρότατο σφάλμα που περιέγραψα, αφορούσε μόνο την δική μου συσκευή ή όλα τα TCL 306, να μην πω όλα τα TCL smartphones, αφού μιλάμε για το ιδιαίτερο λογισμικό τους που "κουμπώνει" πάνω από το android. Τα ανέφερα όλα αυτά στην TCL, και με "έγραψαν" κανονικά, δεν απάντησαν και δεν ικανοποίησαν το αίτημά μου, δηλαδή εάν μόνο η δική μου συσκευή ήταν προβληματική, να μου την αντικαταστήσουν με μια μη προβληματική. Ή μήπως δεν δέχτηκαν να την αντικαταστήσουν με μια νέα συσκευή TCL 306, επειδή θα ήταν και αυτή προβληματική?
Αυτή είναι η TCL στα smartphones, φαινομενικά μεγάλη εταιρία, αλλά στην πράξη, το λογισμικό που αυτοί φτιάχνουν, δεν μπορεί να επικοινωνήσει σωστά με την συσκευή που έχουν σχεδιάσει, και γι'αυτό αποτυγχάνουν τα updates και δημιουργούν θέμα σε βάθος χρόνου.
Γι' αυτό από 3 αστεράκια, μειώνω την βαθμολγογία μου σε 1 αστεράκι.
Για μένα, ποτέ ξανά smartphone TCL. "Κάηκε" ενώ της έδωσα όλες τις λογικές δυνατότητες να με ικανοποι΄΄ησει στο εύλογο αίτημά μου. [End edit]
I bought it for an elderly person after trying 2-3 other ones exclusively for the elderly, those with big buttons, which, however, broke in no time. You can put it in simple mode and everything is fine.

Για ηλικιωμένο το πήρα αφού δοκίμασα 2-3 άλλα αποκλειστικά για ηλικιωμένους, αυτά με μεγάλα κουμπιά, τα οποία όμως χαλάσανε σε χρόνο d-t. Το βάζεις και σε simple mode και όλα μια χαρά.
Έχει play store κανονικά, είναι αρκετά γρήγορο. Μπαταρία περίπου 2 μέρες.
Για απλή καθημερινή χρήση, Αξίζει!!!
I have had the phone for about 6 months and it has left me with a quite positive impression. The highlights, I would say, are its screen and its software, which is very close to stock Android and not too loaded to make it heavier and slower. Έχω το κινητό 6 μήνες περίπου και μου έχει αφήσει αρκετά θετική εντύπωση. Τα highlights θα έλεγα είναι η οθόνη του, και το software του που είναι πολύ κοντά σε stock android και όχι πολύ φορτωμένο ώστε να το κάνει πιο βαρύ και αργό. Η μπαταρία του επίσης είναι αρκετά καλή και με μέτρια χρήση αντέχει 2 μέρες. Για τη κατηγορία τιμής του κρίνεται πολύ τίμιο. Ιδανικό για όσους θέλουν κάτι απλό να χαζεύουν στο youtube και στα social media.

Από θέμα κάμερας δεν είναι και κάτι το ιδιαίτερο, για τα λεφτά του είναι τίμιο και σε αυτό..
Αλλά αυτό που είναι το κύριο δυνατό του χαρτί είναι η μπαταρία.. Οκ η μάνα μου δε του πίνει το αίμα, αλλά χωρίς υπερβολές της κρατάει 4 μέρες.. Έχω να το δω αυτό από εποχές Nokia 3310!!!!

I have the TCL 306 (3GB/32GB) for about a year and a half. Compared to my previous smartphone, a small Chinese brand, the TCL 306 (3GB/32GB) is more "loaded" in memory, so it's expected to be faster in operation.
However:
• The Android environment, although more advanced than that of my previous phone, is worse, so much time has passed, and in the details—because when we talk about Android versions, details matter—the Android on the TCL 306 is worse than the previous one I had. And this is a significant minus.
• TCL, like all brands, periodically does automated system updates that contribute to the good functioning of the devices. For about three months now, in the last update it tries to do automatically, it fails to complete it, so it stopped doing the system update. When I say it can't complete it, I mean it downloads the update files, and then it should install them, so it starts, 1%, 2%, 5%, 22%, 57%, 80%, 99% and then message fail. It can't complete the installation. I contacted TCL customer care, which is a big Chinese brand, they told me to do something with security log in and intervene in the system setting, which didn't work, then they told me to install some app on my laptop, and then by connecting the laptop and smartphone, to do the update that the device can't complete on its own, but I noticed that if I finally ran this process, it would do a system reset to factory settings, so I would probably lose some things I have on the smartphone, since in the last transfer I did from the previous one to this one, I used a relevant data transfer app, it transferred my contacts, photos, but not all the apps I had, and I had to reload them, log in again to the apps that required it, and generally, it was a process I don't want to go through again.
So I told TCL Customer Care that I can't proceed with this, because it will do a factory reset, and I don't consider it a solution.
Although technically it is faster than my previous phone, at the software level I notice issues that may be serious, and no solutions are given. This makes its use less enjoyable compared to my previous phone, even though it was slower than the TCL 306.
Also lately, its touchscreen seems to have developed some kind of hypersensitivity, which is bad, because when I scroll something down, it enters points with links, when it shouldn't—in other words, previously when it didn't show this hypersensitivity, I could scroll the screen down without entering links I didn't want, while if I wanted to, I would tap the links and enter. Now, as soon as my finger barely touches, it enters the links without me wanting to, and of course, this hypersensitivity is particularly annoying, because I have to constantly press Back.
The TCL 306 rather disappoints me, and I can say that when I need to change my phone, because I only change them if there is a serious reason, e.g. I had to change my previous one because it was 3G and would no longer be supported - and given that I have found that TCL has not provided solutions, it makes me believe that this will be the case with all its products, and therefore it is most likely that when I need to buy a new phone, it will never be a TCL brand.
[edit 12/12/25] I used to think that the lack of system updates did not harm me, in the sense that I was just missing out on some, at least theoretically, improvements. Over time, in the last six months based on the edit date, I found that the incomplete system updates were causing hidden damage. Why? Because every time it tried to update unsuccessfully, part of the memory filled up with some, as I discovered, hidden files that you can't see, can't find with any search, and can't delete. Result: the memory filled up, and the device, having no memory, started cutting off even important functions on its own, such as wifi, plus I no longer had memory space, not even to take a few photos.
In this new situation, and in order not to throw away the phone and buy a new one, I ended up with the last resort: to do a factory reset, which restores it to factory settings, as if it were new. I did, I re-imported my Contacts via Google Account, and reinstalled the apps I wanted. I thought that now, due to the Hard Reset, it would have also received the latest software updates. Its memory was restored and from 98% full before the Hard Reset, it returned to a normal 70%. And just when I thought the whole issue was over, even with the hassle of the Hard Reset, after a day, it shows that it's doing a system update - I thought it would work now, since it was like new and had plenty of free memory, but it does the downloading, then the installation, but when it reaches a high percentage, it again shows the message that it "Failed"!!
Do you understand??? Complete disappointment. The same thing again. The system updates that you can't avoid, fail, and gradually start "eating up" the phone's memory, you can't find these essentially useless files and delete them regularly so that the memory is not affected, and gradually the memory will fill up again, making the phone essentially useless.
I did everything I could not to burden the memory myself with extras, e.g. the photos I take, instead of being stored on the device's memory, I store them on Google Photos and regularly clean the RAM, etc. I estimate that this way, the phone will last me about another two years. But when its memory fills up again, I will not do another Hard Reset because it is a hassle. I will change it, throw it in recycling, and replace it.
I note that again, I contacted TCL, and asked them that if my device had a software problem that gradually rendered it useless, this was their fault, and they should replace it for free with the same one that does not have this problem or with another similar one. Because it was clearly their fault. Their software in the system updates, since it fails and gradually fills up the memory, works in a way like a "cancer" that gradually increases and reaches a point where it damages the device. I told them all this, in detail, but they completely ignored me.
This is the TCL brand, this is the quality it has and this is how it treats its customers, even in cases of its own substantial mistakes.
Car manufacturers, when they find a serious fault in their models, even if the warranty period has expired, do a recall and fix it for free.
Do you believe that the very serious fault I described concerned only my device or all TCL 306s, if not all TCL smartphones, since we are talking about their special software that "fits" on top of Android? Έχω το TCL 306 (3GB/32 GB) περίπου ενάμισι χρόνο. Σε σχέση με το προηγούμενο smartphone που είχα, μικρό κινέζικο brand, το TCL 306 (3GB/32 GB) είναι πιο "φορτωμένο" σε μνήμη, οπότε αναμενόμενο να είναι ταχύτερο στην λειτουργία του.
Όμως:
• Το περιβάλλον android και παρόλο που είναι πιο προγμένο, από αυτό του προηγούμενου κινητού μου, είναι χειρότερο, έχει περάσει τόσο καιρός, και στις λεπτομέρειες διότι ούτως ή άλλως όταν μιλάμε για εκδόσεις του android, λεπτομέρειες παίζουν, το android λοιπόν του TCL 306 είναι χειρότερο του προηγιύμενου που είχα. Και αυτό είναι σημαντικό μείον.
• Το TCL όπως όλα τα brands, κάνουν ανά καιρούς, αυτοματοποιημένα system updates, που συμβάλλουν στην καλή λειτουργία των συσκευών. Εδώ και κανά τρίμηνο στην τελευταία ανανέωση που κάνει αυτόματα, δεν καταφέρνει να την ολοκληρώσει, οπότε έπαψε να κάνει το system update. Όταν λέω ότι δεν μπορεί να την ολοκληρώσει, εννοώ ότι κάνει download τα αρχεία update, και αμέσως μετά πρέπει να τα κάνει install, ξεκινάει λοιπόν, 1%, 2%, 5%, 22%, 57%, 80%, 99% και μετά μήνυμα fail. Δεν μπορεί να ολοκληρώσει το installation. Είπα λοιπόν στο Customer Care της TCL, ότι αυτό δεν μπορώ να το προχωρήσω, διότι θα κάνει επαναναφορά στις εργοαστσιακές ρυθμίσεις, και δεν την θεωρώ λύση.
Αν και τεχνικά είναι ταχύτερο από το προηγούμενο κινητό μου, ωστόσο σε επίπεδο software διαπιστώνω θεματάκια, που ενδεχομένως είναι σοβαρά, και δεν δίδονται και λύσεις. Αυτό, καθιστά την χρήση του, λιγότερο απολαυστική, σε σχέση με το προηγούμενο κινητό μου, παρόλο που ήταν πιο αργό από το TCL 306.
Επίσης τώρα τελευταία, η οθόνη αφής του, δείχνει σαν να απέκτησε μια κάποια υπερ-ευαισθησία, που είναι κακό, διότι όταν σκρολάρω κάτι προς τα κάτω, μπαίνει σε σημεία που έχει συνδέσμους, ενώ δεν θα έπρεπε - δηλαδή παλαιότερα που δεν έδειχνει αυτή την υπερευαισθησία, μπορούσα να σκρολάρω την οθόνη, και πήγαινα προς τα κάτω, χωρίς να μπαίνω στους συνδέσμους που δεν ήθελα, ενώ εάν ήθελα, πατούσα στους συνδέσμους και έμπαινα. Τώρα με το που ακουμπάει το δάκτυλο ανεπαίσθητα, μπαίνει στους συνδέσμους χωρίς να το θέλω, και βέβαια αυτή η υπερ-ευαισθησία, είναι ιδιαίτερα ενοχλητική, διότι πρέπει να πατάω συνεχώς το Πίσω.
Το TCL 306 μάλλον με απογοητεύει, και μπορώ να πω, ότι όταν χρειαστώ να αλλάξω το κινητό, διότι τα αλλάζω μόνο εάν υπάρχει σοβαρός λόγος, π.χ. το προηγούμενο που είχα τα άλλαξα αναγκαστικά διότι ήταν 3G και θα έπαυε να υπσοτηρίζεται - και δεδομένου ότι έχω διπιστώσει ότι η TCL δεν έχει δώσει λύσεις, με κάνει να πιστεύω, ότι έτσι θα είναι σε όλα τα προϊόντα της, και επομένως το πιθανότερο είναι ότι όταν χρειαστεί να ξαναγοράσω κινητό, δεν θα είναι ποτέ, μάρκας TCL.
[edit 12/12/25] Θεωρούσα ότι που δεν γίνονταν τα system updates, ότι δεν μου έκανε και ζημιά, υπό την έννοια ότι δεν ελάμβανα κάποιες τουλάχιστον θεωρητικά βελτιώσεις. Στην πορεία, στο τελευταίο εξάμηνο βάσει της ημερομηνίας edit, διαπίστωσα ότι η μη ολοκλήρωση των system updates, μου έκανε αφανή ζημιά. Γιατί? Διότι κάθε φορά που προσπαθούσε να κάνει update ανεπιτυχώς, ένα μέρος της μνήμης, γέμιζε με κάποια, όπως διαπίστωσε κρυφά αρχεία, που δεν τα βλέπεις, δεν μπορείς να τα βρεις με κάποια αναζήτηση και δεν μπορείς να τα σβύσεις. Αποτέλεσμα: η μνήμη γέμισε, και η συσκευή μη έχοντας μνήμη, άρχισε να κόβει από μόνη της έως και σημαντικές δραστηριότητες, όπως π.χ. wifi, συν ότι δεν είχα πλέον χώρο μνήμης, ούτε για να βγάζω ελάχιστες φωτό.
Υπό αυτή την νέα κατάσταση, και προκειμένου να πετάξω το τηλέφωνο και να πάρω καινούργιο, κατέληξα στην ύστατη λύση: Να κάνω factory reset, που επανέρχεται στις εργοστασιακές ρυθμίσεις, σαν να είναι καινούργιο. Έκανα, ξαναπέρασα μέσω Google Account τις Επαφές μου, και εγκατέστησα πάλι τα app που ήθελα. Νόμισα ότι τώρα, λόγω του Hard Reset, θα πήρε στο λογισμικό του και τις τελευταίες ενημερώσεις. Η μνήμη του επανήλθε και από 98% που ήταν πλήρης πριν το Hard Reset, επανήλθε σε ένα φυσιολογικό 70%. Και εκεί που θεώρησα ότι το όλο θέμα τελείωσε, έστω με την ταλαιπωρία του Hard Reset, μετά από μια μέρα, βγάζει ότι κάνει system update - εγώ θεώρησα ότι τώρα θα το έκανε, διότι ήταν σαν καινούργιο και είχε και μνήμη άφθονη ελεύθερη, αλλά κάνει το downloading, μετά κάνει το installation αλλά όταν φθάνει σε κάποιο υψηλό ποσοστό, βγάζει πάλι το μήνυμα ότι "Απέτυχε"!!
Καταλαβαίνετε;;; Πλήρης απογοήτευση. Ξανά τα ίδια. Τα systems updates που δεν μπορείς να τα αποφύγεις, γίνονται ανεπιτυχώς, και σιγά - σιγά αρχίζουν και "τρώνε" από την μνήμη του κινητού, δεν μπορείς να βρεις αυτά τα ουσία άχρηστα αρχεία και να τα σβύνεις τακτικά έτσι ώστε να μην επηρεαστεί η μνήμη, και σταδιακά η μνήμη θα γεμίσει ξανά, καθιστώντας το τηλέφωνο ουσία άχρηστο.
Έκανα ό,τι μπορώ για να μην επιβαρύνω την μνήμη εγώ με πρόσθετα, π.χ. τις φωτό ππου βγάζω, αντί να αποθηκεύονται στην μνήμη της συσκευής, τις αποθηκεύω στο google photos και κάνω τακτικά καθαρισμό RAM κλπ. Υπολογίζω ότι έτσι, το κινητό θα μου βγάλει περίπου άλλη μια διετία. Όταν όμως η μνήμη του ξαναγεμίσει, δεν θα κάνω ξανά Hard Reset διότι είναι ταλαιπωρία. Θα το αλλάξω, θα το πετάξω στην ανακύκλωση και θα το αντικαταστήσω.
Σημειώνω ότι ξανά, επικοινώνησα με την TCL, και τους ζήτησα ότι εάν η συσκευή μου είχε ένα λογισμικό πρόβλημα που σιγά - σιγά την καθιστούσε άχρηστη, αυτό ήταν δικό της σφάλμα, και θα έπρεπε να μου την αντικαταταστήσουν δωρεάν με μια ίδια που να μην παρουσιάζει όμως αυτό το πρόβλημα ή με μια άλλη παρόμοια. Διότι οφείλονταν σε καθαρά δικό τους σφάλμα. Το λογισμικό τους στα system updates, αφού αποτυγχάνει και σιγά - σιγά γεμίζει την μνήμη του, λειτουργεί τρόπον τινά, σαν ένας "καρκίνος" που σταδιακά αυξάνει και φτάνει σε ένα σημείο που κάνει ζημιά στην συσκευή. Τους τα είπα όλα αυτά, αναλυτικά, αλλά με "έγραψαν" κανονικά.
Αυτή είναι η μάρκα TCL, αυτή την ποιότητα έχει και έτσι συμπεριφέρεται στους πελάτες της, ακόμα και σε περιπτώσεις ουσιαστικών δικών της σφαλμάτων.
Οι αυτοκινητοβιομηχανίες, όταν δουν ότι στα μοντέλα τους εντοπίζουν ένα σοβαρό σφάλμα, ακόμα και εάν έχει περάσει η περίοδος Εγγύησης, κάνουν recall και το φτιάχνουν δωρεάν.
Πιστεύετε ότι το σοβαρότατο σφάλμα που περιέγραψα, αφορούσε μόνο την δική μου συσκευή ή όλα τα TCL 306, να μην πω όλα τα TCL smartphones, αφού μιλάμε για το ιδιαίτερο λογισμικό τους που "κουμπώνει" πάνω από το android. Τα ανέφερα όλα αυτά στην TCL, και με "έγραψαν" κανονικά, δεν απάντησαν και δεν ικανοποίησαν το αίτημά μου, δηλαδή εάν μόνο η δική μου συσκευή ήταν προβληματική, να μου την αντικαταστήσουν με μια μη προβληματική. Ή μήπως δεν δέχτηκαν να την αντικαταστήσουν με μια νέα συσκευή TCL 306, επειδή θα ήταν και αυτή προβληματική?
Αυτή είναι η TCL στα smartphones, φαινομενικά μεγάλη εταιρία, αλλά στην πράξη, το λογισμικό που αυτοί φτιάχνουν, δεν μπορεί να επικοινωνήσει σωστά με την συσκευή που έχουν σχεδιάσει, και γι'αυτό αποτυγχάνουν τα updates και δημιουργούν θέμα σε βάθος χρόνου.
Γι' αυτό από 3 αστεράκια, μειώνω την βαθμολγογία μου σε 1 αστεράκι.
Για μένα, ποτέ ξανά smartphone TCL. "Κάηκε" ενώ της έδωσα όλες τις λογικές δυνατότητες να με ικανοποι΄΄ησει στο εύλογο αίτημά μου. [End edit]
I bought it for an elderly person after trying 2-3 other ones exclusively for the elderly, those with big buttons, which, however, broke in no time. You can put it in simple mode and everything is fine.
It has the play store normally, it's quite fast. Battery lasts about 2 days.
For simple everyday use, it's worth it!
Για ηλικιωμένο το πήρα αφού δοκίμασα 2-3 άλλα αποκλειστικά για ηλικιωμένους, αυτά με μεγάλα κουμπιά, τα οποία όμως χαλάσανε σε χρόνο d-t. Το βάζεις και σε simple mode και όλα μια χαρά.
Έχει play store κανονικά, είναι αρκετά γρήγορο. Μπαταρία περίπου 2 μέρες.
Για απλή καθημερινή χρήση, Αξίζει!!!
I have had the phone for about 6 months and it has left me with a quite positive impression. The highlights, I would say, are its screen and its software, which is very close to stock Android and not too loaded to make it heavier and slower. Έχω το κινητό 6 μήνες περίπου και μου έχει αφήσει αρκετά θετική εντύπωση. Τα highlights θα έλεγα είναι η οθόνη του, και το software του που είναι πολύ κοντά σε stock android και όχι πολύ φορτωμένο ώστε να το κάνει πιο βαρύ και αργό. Η μπαταρία του επίσης είναι αρκετά καλή και με μέτρια χρήση αντέχει 2 μέρες. Για τη κατηγορία τιμής του κρίνεται πολύ τίμιο. Ιδανικό για όσους θέλουν κάτι απλό να χαζεύουν στο youtube και στα social media.

I bought it as a gift for my mother about 9-10 months ago, and she is very happy with it because it works perfectly for internet and social media. Ενώ πάσχει σε φώτο και βίντεο όταν δεν έχει καλό φωτισμό βάζω 5 αστέρια γιατί το κινητό για τα χρήματα του είναι άψογο. Well, I got the phone for my mom, who uses it for video calls since we live quite far away. She uses it a little for Facebook to pass the time and YouTube for music.
In terms of the camera, it's nothing special, but for its price, it's decent and reliable.

Λοιπόν, το κινητό το πήρα για τη μάνα μου η οποία το χρησιμοποιεί για καμιά βιντεοκλήση μιας και μένουμε αρκετά μακριά, λίγο facebook να περνάει την ώρα της, YouTube για μουσική.
Από θέμα κάμερας δεν είναι και κάτι το ιδιαίτερο, για τα λεφτά του είναι τίμιο και σε αυτό..
Αλλά αυτό που είναι το κύριο δυνατό του χαρτί είναι η μπαταρία.. Οκ η μάνα μου δε του πίνει το αίμα, αλλά χωρίς υπερβολές της κρατάει 4 μέρες.. Έχω να το δω αυτό από εποχές Nokia 3310!!!!

FOR 115e that it cost, for these money is fine, for additional requirements, look for something else!!! Το αγόρασα στον πατέρα μου οπότε το μόνο που με ένοιαζε ήταν η τιμή, το πήρα πρώτα εγώ και το σέταρα και το δούλεψα λίγο και έχω να παρατηρήσω τα εξής αρνητικά: μέτρια κάμερα και σε εικόνα και σε βίντεο, ενώ έχει αρκετή ανάλυση ο φακός φαίνεται πως είναι χαμηλής ποιότητας, ηχείο ενώ είναι πολυ καλό στα χαμηλά, στα μέτρια και στα ψηλά πάσχει, είναι μεγαλούτσικο αν και μια χαρά έχει βολέψει τον πατέρα μου που δεν βλέπει. Πάμε και στα θετικά: φοβερή μπαταρία, καταπληκτική οθόνη, αρκετά καλό επεξεργαστή που δεν μασάει και δεν κολλάει πουθενά
They gave it to me as a corporate and it's okay, it's a bit big and awkward but I'm a salesman inside the car talking with Bluetooth, so that's not an issue. The screen has amazing resolution and very nice colors that you wouldn't expect from a cheap series mobile. And the battery is also very good. It lasts for 2 days with heavy usage. Μου το έδωσαν εταιρικό και οκ είναι λίγο μεγάλο και άβολο αλλά πωλητής είμαι μέσα στο αυτοκίνητο μιλάω με bluetooth αυτό δεν είναι θέμα. The worst mobile phone there is.. it freezes all the time, the battery doesn't last at all, poor video resolution, and it doesn't take good photos at all.. to connect to the internet, it would freeze so much that it took half an hour to unfreeze and get any work done.. stay away from this phone..
