Andrew Krivine started collecting punk monuments in 1977 when punk emerged on the scene. Since then, Andrew has amassed one of the largest collections of graphic design and punk monuments in the world.
This book includes a carefully curated selection of over 650 posters, club flyers, record covers, and advertisements from the collection. Together they represent the key years of punk that forever changed the world of graphic design with their DIY aesthetic.
The artworks are contextualized by design experts, academics, and commentators. Among them are former New York Times art director Steven Heller, Graphic Design Reader at London College of Communication Dr. Russ Bestley, graphic design writer Rick Poynor, designer Malcolm Garrett, and Pulitzer Prize-winning editor Michael Wilde.
