Welcome to the urban environment of The Ascent Group, a self-contained, corporate-controlled metropolis that stretches high into the sky and is filled with creatures from all over the galaxy. You play as a worker, a slave to the corporation you and everyone else in your area belong to. You carry out the tasks assigned to you, no matter how humble they may be. One day, while on a routine mission to use your skills with a cyberdeck, you suddenly find yourself trapped in a vortex of catastrophic events. The Ascent Group, the largest mega-corporation on the planet, shuts down for unknown reasons, causing the collapse of automated security systems. The survival of your district is at risk: rival corporations are trying to take it over by force, and criminal syndicates are trying to boost the trade of augmentations on the black market. You must arm yourself to prevent them from taking control and embark on a new mission to find out what started it all.
