Description

Description

The TL-SG105PE is fully compatible with PoE devices, such as IP cameras, access points, and IP phones. It also works with non-PoE wired devices, such as computers, printers, and IPTV.

Self-Healing System with PoE Auto Recovery

The switch automatically detects and restarts PD devices, such as cameras and APs, when they go offline or become unresponsive, ensuring the stable operation of PoE-connected devices without the need for manual monitoring and restarting.

Smart power management to prevent power overload

Automatically reduces the power of lower-priority ports to ensure the power supply of high-priority ports when the total PoE power consumption exceeds 65 W. This protects the device from power overload operation.

Great compatibility with PD detection

Automatically detects the required PoE power for your device and protects your non-PoE equipment from damage.

It was not chosen because it is managed, it just happened... it was set up in a few seconds and powered 3 PTZ cameras without a trace of a problem. To find its default IP you have to be a magician, as it is not mentioned in any of the manuals, only within the instructions for setting up the LEDs. The web environment is easy, which you can also operate through the Easy Smart Configuration Utility program... for €49.89, I think it's top, although I will have a final opinion when I also power a Deco PoE+ at the same time

    Pros
4× PoE+ up to 30W per port, 65W total: covers 3-4 active PoE devices without worry.

Fanless metal chassis: silent operation, sturdy construction, small footprint.

PoE Auto-Recovery & Intelligent Power Management: keeps your devices “alive” and protects against overload.

Easy L2 settings (VLAN/QoS/IGMP): everything needed for cameras, VoIP, and home/SMB segmentation.

Plug-and-play with simple web interface: sets up quickly even if you’re not a network expert.

    Points to note

Not “fully managed”: does not provide advanced features (CLI, SNMP, RADIUS, L3 routing, stacking).

1 practical uplink port (without PoE): for more complex networks you may need a larger model.

PoE budget 65W: sufficient for most scenarios, but if you have many/“hungry” APs or PTZ cameras, carefully calculate the total consumption.

  • PoE+ with Overload Priority and Autorecovery. QoS (Rate Limit, Storm Control, etc.). Link Aggregation. IGMP Snooping. Port Mirroring, VLAN, Managed with web interface (not complicated things but just right for home or small business use) etc. etc. etc... You get what you pay for! Excellent for the price (Purchase 59.89 euros).

Value for money. Disadvantage is that it doesn't have the ability to turn the power on and off on some port. I've had it for several months and I've really forgotten about it!

Edit: 1 year later I got a second one for another spot in the house. Works great with 2 AP + 2 Cam.
