Good resistance to 4 Beaufort winds, I don't think it would hold up well in stronger winds, especially on a beach where the pegs don't hold well. The main issue I didn't have with my previous classic tent... the mesh opens from the outside. It seems a bit strange to me because you have to go in and out for ventilation/sun but also for safety reasons. It is also quite short. But I must say again that the setup is a 5-minute affair.

What does the waterproof rating on camping tents indicate?
The waterproofing of a tent indicates how much water its outer fabric can repel. It is measured in millimeters (mm) and refers to how many millimeters of a vertical water column (and thus pressure) a square centimeter of fabric can withstand without being penetrated by water.
The higher the waterproofing rating, the less breathable the fabric is, and thus the warmer the tent. Common waterproofing values range from 500mm to 10,000mm.
