"How is it possible to get angry with such a small, innocent, and sweet little creature?"... That's what I used to tell myself every time I heard a mom yelling at her kids... "Why do you have to use tricks to get them to eat, sleep, or drink their milk?"... My kids won't be like that...

These were the thoughts I had before I had my own children... And yet, I too feel anger, especially when they don't listen to me and do whatever they want. And because I really don't like this feeling, I read this particular book.

In its pages, I found a hundred tips, a hundred effective tricks, that make living with small children harmonious and calm.

Even though I don't have much time to read, I found it easy to read, since I finished it in three nights!

I mainly felt that it is useful for parents with babies and toddlers... Therefore, it doesn't suit me anymore, since my boys are already five years old. Most of the difficult situations it describes, I have already gone through, either the right or wrong way.

Nevertheless, I felt comforted and embraced by a mom who has already raised her children and knows exactly what to say to me...

Surely, it is a useful book for an expectant mother or someone who has very young children...

What I don't like about the title is the verb "obey". As a mom, I want to raise strong and independent children, who have their own opinions and make their own decisions. I want to guide them up to a certain age and simply have them listen and follow, but not obey.

Again, this doesn't fit my case... My kids have their own opinions on many issues and make their own decisions about simple everyday things, like their clothes and toys. But for younger ages, it's different, since there are safety and health issues.

From this book, I kept a nice piece of advice that applies to all children and ages. "As parents, we must accept even the negative emotions of our children if we don't want our own behavior to become aggressive!"
