In his first and most influential book, Malcolm Gladwell examines the phenomenon of the tipping point, which has affected the way millions of people think and make decisions. The TIPPING POINT is the magic moment when an idea, trend, or social behavior crosses a threshold, changes direction, and spreads like wildfire. Just as a patient can transmit a virus that reaches pandemic proportions, a small but targeted push can create a new fashion trend, make a product popular, or alter social behaviors, such as crime rates.
The tipping point is observed in the spread of ideas, commercial products, social phenomena, television series, political movements – even diseases. This is the author's first book, written in 2000, when Gladwell decided to take the phrase "Tipping Point," which had been used to describe epidemiological phenomena, and apply it to social phenomena. Since then, it has become an influential bestseller and long-seller, as well as a landmark for the genre of popular sociology, which authors worldwide frequently reference and refer to over time.
The book is being translated into Greek for the first time.

"It’s hard not to be convinced by Gladwell’s position. Not only does he combine a thrilling mix of facts to support his theory... but he also manages to weave everything into a coherent explanation of human behavior. Additionally, we appreciate the optimism of a theory that supports, as another commentator put it, 'the power of one.'" –Business Week
