The Constitution of Free Greece is a plan for radical revision. It represents the minimum necessary to open the way for a different kind of democracy and a different kind of socio-economic development that the Greek people need.
Its overall direction can facilitate the transition to a genuinely popular democracy, in contrast to today's declining democracy of the rulers and the economic oligarchy. It can lead to the true national independence of the country and the flourishing of its productive capabilities to the benefit of the workers.
In other words, it can pave the way for a free people in a free Greece. It is inspired by constitutional texts such as those of Portugal in 1976, Venezuela, Bolivia, the preamble of the French Constitution of 1946, the Italian Constitution of 1948, the constitutional revision plan of Allende's government in Chile, the Constitution draft of Rigas Feraios, the legislative experiences of our national Resistance, and the proposals of the opposition during the constitutional revision process of 1975.
It is aimed at the wider public and not just legal or political scientists.
