Description

The Bowers & Wilkins M-1 speaker is designed for use anywhere and for all musical purposes.

The most compact and versatile Bowers & Wilkins speaker, the elegant M-1 can be used as a stereo pair with or without a subwoofer or in a 5.1 channel surround system.

The M-1 can even be mounted on a wall. It includes a wall bracket and a tabletop stand. The bracket allows you to install it wherever you want with great ease, either vertically or horizontally.

The M-1 is designed with the same design features and ethos as the larger B & W series. Perhaps the most impressive thing about the M-1 is the weight and durability of its curved aluminum. This is combined with a strong, front ABS diaphragm.

Together they provide an excellent cabinet, the curved aluminum is rigid. Small but durable, the AM-1 speaker is ideal for listening to your music wherever you are, as it features a smart bracket for easy wall mounting and a 220-degree rotation capability.

I have 2 pairs (rear and side in 7.1). I have had them for over 10 years, they are amazing in both sound and build quality. The wall mounts included are very nice.

An excellent speaker with top-quality construction and integrated sound. I have been using them for 11 years, 8 of which in a multi-channel system (set together with the PV1) and the last 3 years as computer speakers driven by a Denon PMA 720. Rich sound for their size, characterized by B&W's preference for mid-range frequencies, with agility in the other frequencies that is impressive. They will be appreciated by enthusiasts, and there is truly nothing else aesthetically equivalent for a passive shelf speaker for the office. The package also includes the ability to mount on the wall with the wall bracket, which is included in the packaging.

I have had them for 5 years and the reason I am here is because I had bought 3 pieces for the front (L-C-R) and now I want to get 2 more for the back to complete the set.

After a lot of searching and listening to many home theater systems, I initially settled on the M1 for the following reasons:
    - Amazing build quality
    - Excellent frequency response throughout the spectrum without exaggerations
    - The only speaker out of all the ones I listened to in this price range that - for my taste - did not require any adjustment of tonality (treble-bass) from the amplifier
    - Exceptional performance in music as well
    - Very good price (currently at 190E/piece)

The only disadvantage - which is completely subjective since it is a matter of preference - is that the center speaker is not a dedicated one but an M1 with horizontal orientation. This means that we have an L or R speaker placed in the center and while it does not lack in dialogue performance, it lacks the emphasis-emphasis on mid-range frequencies that characterizes other exclusive center speakers
