    The duration of these bases depends mainly on the placement and the usage you give them. I have it on the bed, with moderate use, mainly I put my phone to play so I can fall asleep. So I don't stress it too much. Anyway, 6 months later it's holding up just fine. The key with all similar products is to not break at the base, that's usually where they get loose.

    The product is value for money as the device is sturdy in grip.

    UPDATE 2 WEEKS AFTER PURCHASE: The metal inside the rubber got cut at the point where it comes out of the base with relatively light use. I had bought 2 pieces and will come back for the evaluation of the second one (in case it was a material defect), however, on the second base, the exact same spot already appears worn out.
