    It really works with the 15 drops in a little water that I drink before eating. The bitterness doesn’t bother me as the sensation is momentary and it’s worth it for the result it gives. Of course, I have also made changes to my diet (no pastries, no soft drinks or carbonated drinks in general, sweets rarely, almost never tomato sauces but generally sauces and heavy foods, never spicy foods). Chewing gum also helps because the saliva it produces neutralizes the acids that rise from the stomach. If I feel the onset of heartburn or have eaten something that I know can cause me indigestion and heartburn, I immediately chew mastic gum.
