Enteric-coated Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids
Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids belong to the good fats and are divided into 2 categories:
- Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which is found in plant foods such as flaxseed and broccoli.
- Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which are found in fish, fish oils, and other marine organisms.
The difference between them is that EPA and DHA are directly absorbed from the foods that contain them, while alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) is converted into EPA and DHA within our body.
They possess properties that are proven to be beneficial for our body. Omega-3 fatty acids, specifically EPA and DHA, have been linked to cardiovascular health. Clinical studies have shown that the intake of EPA and DHA can reduce the risk of heart attacks. They also regulate triglycerides, cholesterol, and blood pressure.
Additionally, Omega-3 fatty acids are a key structural component of nerve cells and are essential for the proper development and good health of children and teenagers, especially those facing learning difficulties or exhibiting attention deficit and hyperactivity.
Daily intake enhances brain function, improving memory and energy. Finally, according to research, Omega-3 from fish oils seems to delay the decline in cognitive function observed in the elderly.
Usage: Two soft capsules once or twice daily with meals.
