Sunday was another sunny day. There was no wind at all, and the autumn colors of the valley shone in the sun. Small white-breasted birds hopped from one branch to another, skillfully pecking at red berries. I was sitting on the veranda, soaking in the view. Nature generously shares its beauty with everyone, without distinguishing between rich and poor. Just like time… No, scratch that, time is another story. Money can help us buy a little more of it. The shiny blue Toyota Prius climbed the hill to my door at exactly ten o’clock. Shoko Akikawa was elegantly dressed in a thin beige turtleneck and sporty fitted light green pants. Around her neck, a simple gold chain faintly gleamed. As in her previous visit, her hair was perfectly styled. As it lightly moved, it allowed me to steal glances at the beautiful line of her neck. She wore brown moccasins. She was simply dressed, yet she had obviously spent a lot of time carefully choosing each piece of clothing.
