Based on logic, weather reports (from the internet), and the car thermometer, this thermometer does NOT seem to be accurate. It shows 20 degrees inside a closed container placed outside at night, while the car shows 18 degrees and the weather shows 16 degrees (I believe 16 is the most accurate based on perception when you are outside).
I will not return it, however, I think it is not accurate. I will get some mercury at some point to compare it.
