I won't say much so as not to tire you... I also have the router from OTE... from the first day the offer came out I got it along with the extender, in a 110 square meter house I have good wifi everywhere... with cable it's not even a question but even with wifi I never had a problem on any device and I have a lot... just the 6 cameras at home are enough...

The router is unacceptable. Although its speed with a cable is 900+ on a 1000 Mbps line, the WiFi does not even give 300 at four meters straight in the living room. I got it as a first installation router from Cosmote. I don't think it's worth buying...

I don't know why so many people complain about the WiFi issue... For me, at a distance of 4-5 meters, it gave me perfectly good speed on my phone in a speed test. See photo. You are wrong to underestimate it... I have no complaints!

Coming from the 7530, it has exactly the same functions as that one. I don't know about its Wifi because I never used it, neither on this nor on the 7530. You don't use this modem for its wifi but for the features and functions it gives you, such as AVM's dyndns, line settings for dtmf, proper port forwarding, security updates, and various others. Basically, you buy it for its operating system. It is a semi-pro modem in a sense. If someone buys it thinking that because it is expensive it also has good wifi, they should prefer something else.
Προερχόμενος από 7530, έχει ακριβώς τις ίδιες λειτουργίες με αυτό. Δεν ξερω για το Wifi του γιατί ποτέ δεν το χρησιμοποίησα ούτε σε αυτό ούτε στο 7530. Το modem αυτό δεν το χρησιμοποιείς για το wifi του αλλά για τα χαρακτηριστικά και τις λειτουργίες που σου δίνει όπως dyndns της avm, line settings για τα dtmf, σωστά port forwarding, security updates και αλλά διάφορα. Βασικά το αγοράζεις για το λειτουργικό του. Είναι semi pro modem υπό μια έννοια.Αν κάποιος το πάρει με την λογική ότι επειδή είναι ακριβό άρα έχει και καλό wifi ας προτιμήσει κάτι άλλο.

The issue with the wifi for anyone looking to buy it is real. Every meter away from the router results in a decrease in speed. However, the main problem I see not being mentioned is bufferbloat. That is, when a line like mine is overloaded with devices, what will it give you? The A+ and A are the best results one can get. So, I, who play online games, notice that with my old line which had 28/7 down/up, I had much better ping than this. I thought that by getting 1000/500, I would have amazing results. On the contrary! I have terrible delay and a lot of ping in games, resulting in me stopping playing online for this reason. I informed my provider and they told me that they can't do anything because this is what they provide at 1000. It is much inferior to the 5590 in terms of processor and with fewer configurations. The problem can only be solved by changing the router (in my case). I really have no words, and from being clueless, with so much searching, I became knowledgeable
ΤΟ Θέμα με το wifi για όποιον πάει να το αγοράσει να ξέρετε ότι ισχύει. Κάθε μέτρο μακριά από το ρούτερ είναι και μείωση ταχύτητας.ΤΟ κυρίως πρόβλημα ομωσ δεν βλέπω να αναφέρεται και αυτό δεν είναι άλλο από το bufferbloat. Δλδ όταν μια γραμμή σαν τη δική μου φουλαρει από συσκευές ,τι θα σου δώσει. Το A+ kai to A είναι το καλύτερο αποτέλεσμα που μπορεί να πάρει κάποιος . Εγώ λοιπόν που παίζω online games παρατηρώ ότι με την παλιά μου γραμμή που έπιανα 28/7 down/up είχα πολύ καλύτερο ping από αυτό. θεώρησα λοιπόν ότι βάζοντας 1000/500 θα έχω εκπληκτικά αποτελεσματα. Το αντίθετο! The worst there is, yes it has a stable connection, yes with a cable it reaches 1 gbps, but with a Wi-Fi connection, if you don't sit right next to it, the speed drops to half at a distance of 4 meters. I have spoken 3 times with OTE and explained that with a 500 connection I had the same Wi-Fi and Ethernet speed permanently, and even in an adjacent room over 10 meters, a steady 500 on all devices with Wi-Fi 6. In fact, when OTE remotely activated the 1 gbps connection, the previous router managed to reach 750 mbps consistently with Wi-Fi. Now with the new useless router, I have 150 mbps from 500 and 750, and their response is to play with the frequencies. I will communicate more with them; I fell for it just like the others in the comments. Never take this router, and its extender is laughable; my devices had a better connection directly to the router than with this one.
EDIT: 16/09/24 For anyone wondering after they send it from OTE, I solved my problem by buying a pair of TP-LINK Deco X50 v1 WiFi Mesh Network Access Point Wi-Fi 6 Dual Band (2.4 & 5GHz) in a Dual Kit. At a distance of over 10 meters, I download with an average of 600-850 mbps and upload with 100-150 mbps depending on the device. With a Gigabyte motherboard that has a built-in Wi-Fi antenna on the computer, I have almost 900 mbps wirelessly and 2 ping while browsing. In gaming, depending on the game, the server, and the device, I notice 25-60 ping. The best part is that I placed the second deco in its box because these numbers are from the deco that is plugged into the Fritz box, and it was better than getting a signal from a second deco in the room where I have my devices, thus allowing for real coverage over large distances and floors, which the router by itself and with its extender, without help on Wi-Fi, is laughable. Regarding the deco, +3 years warranty and an excellent mobile app to manage everything easily. Anyone with a cable will find it useful as it is without buying anything; otherwise, it is not worth downgrading the line. The Speedport Plus 2, which has the best Wi-Fi I have ever seen, may not work well at 1000 mbps, and the Wi-Fi of this Fritz is the worst I have ever seen. Conclusion: If they install you with this router and you work remotely, buy TP-Link Deco yesterday; otherwise, with an Ethernet cable, it does what it promises.
Ότι χειρότερο υπάρχει, ναι έχει σταθερή σύνδεση ναι με καλώδιο πιάνει 1 gbps αλλά με σύνδεση wi fi εάν δεν κάτσετε ακριβώς δίπλα του πέφτει η ταχύτητα στο μισό στα 4 μέτρα απόσταση.
Έχω μιλήσει 3 φορές με τον ΟΤΕ και εξηγώ ότι με σύνδεση 500αρα είχα την ίδια ταχύτητα wifi και ethernet μόνιμα και μάλιστα σε διπλανό δωμάτιο πάνω από 10 μέτρα ακατέβατο 500ρι σε όλες τις συσκευές με wifi 6 .
Μάλιστα όταν ο ΟΤΕ ενεργοποίησε απομακρυσμένα την σύνδεση 1gbps τότε το προηγούμενο ρουτερ κατάφερε να πιάσει 750mbps ακατέβατα με wi fi .
Τώρα με το νέο άχρηστο ρουτερ έχω 150mbps από 500 και 750 και η απάντηση τους είναι να παίζω με τις συχνότητες.
Θα προβώ σε περισσότερη επικοινωνία μαζί τους την πάτησα και εγώ όπως και οι υπόλοιποι στα σχόλια μην το πάρετε ποτέ αυτό το ρουτερ και το extender του είναι για κλάματα, οι συσκευές μου είχαν καλύτερη σύνδεση απευθείας στο ρούτερ πάρα με αυτό.

Για όποιον έχει την απορία αφού του το στείλουν από ΟΤΕ , εγώ έλυσα το πρόβλημά μου αγοράζοντας ένα ζεύγος από TP-LINK Deco X50 v1 WiFi Mesh Network Access Point Wi‑Fi 6 Dual Band (2.4 & 5GHz) σε Διπλό Kit.
Σε απόσταση πάνω από 10 μέτρα κατεβάζω με μέσο όρο 600-850 mbps και ανεβάζω με 100-150 mbps ανάλογα τη συσκευή.
Με μητρική Gigabyte που έχει ενσωματωμένη κεραία wifi στον υπολογιστή , έχω σχεδόν 900 mbps ασύρματα και 2 ping στο browsing.
Στο gaming αναλόγως το game , τον server και την συσκευή παρατηρώ 25-60 ping .
Το καλύτερο είναι ότι το δεύτερο deco το έβαλα στο κουτί του γιατί τα νούμερα αυτά είναι από το deco που είναι κουμπωμένο στο Fritz box και ήταν καλύτερα από τα να παίρνω σήμα από δεύτερο deco στο δωμάτιο που έχω τις συσκευές μου, άρα δυνατότητα κάλυψης πραγματικά μεγάλης απόστασης και ορόφων που το ρούτερ από μόνο του και με το extender του χωρίς βοήθεια στο wifi , είναι για κλάματα. Στα του deco +3 χρόνια εγγύηση και εξαιρετική εφαρμογή στο κινητό για να διαχειρίζεστε τα πάντα με ευκολία. Όποιος έχει καλώδιο θα τον βολέψει ως έχει η συσκευή χωρίς να αγοράσετε τίποτα αλλιώς δεν αξίζει να υποβαθμίσετε την γραμμή , το speedport plus 2 που έχει το καλύτερο wifi που έχω δει ποτέ ίσως να μην δουλέψει καλά στα 1000mbps και το wifi αυτού του fritz είναι ότι χειρότερο έχω δει ποτέ μου.
Συμπέρασμα: Αν σας κάνουν την εγκατάσταση με αυτό το ρούτερ και κάνετε δουλειά σας απομακρυσμένα αγοράστε tp link deco χθες , ειδάλλως με ethernet καλώδιο κάνει αυτό που υπόσχεται.

I contacted EETT and after a document I sent to OTE, they downgraded my line to 500mbs... They gave me the speedport plus ii at a distance of 5m the WIFI gave 430mbs... conclusion... this model is useless. The Germans give us this in Greece... because they consider us third world... NEVER go for a 1gbs line. The law is clear... loss from your provider up to 20%... if companies tell you... "we do not guarantee the wifi speed... it is illegal towards the customer... The speed in fiber optic... is GUARANTEED.

This particular product is provided by COSMOTE for 1Gb fiber optic connections.
As an owner of a router from this company for several years and completely satisfied with both the quality and performance, especially with the 7490, I accepted the offer.
Compared to the ONT - NOKIA - and router, the fritzbox7490 measurements were: 938 download, 102 upload.
When the technician installed the 5530 on the fiber optic and we measured it, it showed 920 download, 100 upload!
Initially, the phone did not work and with the technician's intervention, the problem was resolved.
However, the router worked for about an hour and a half and then burned out!!
It was replaced by the technician with a new one, which now seems to not work with the DECT phone base.
Weak WI-FI, excessively heating up to 67-70 degrees constantly.
Of course, due to FritzOs capabilities, it has many features and in mesh networking it transfers everything (wi-fi, phone).
The conclusions are yours.

Ως κάτοχος ρούτερ από τη συγκεκριμένη εταιρία για αρκετά χρόνια και απόλυτα ευχαριστημένος τόσο από την ποιότητα όσο και από τις επιδόσεις τους ειδικά με το 7490 , δέχθηκα την προσφορά .
Σε σύγκριση με το ΟΝΤ – ΝΟΚΙΑ- και ρούτερ το fritzobox7490 οι μετρήσεις : 938 download 102 upload
Όταν το έβαλε ο τεχνικός στην οπτική ίνα το 5530 και το μετρήσαμε έδειξε 920 download , 100 upload !!
Αρχικά δε δούλεψε η τηλεφωνία και με παρέμβαση του τεχνικού το πρόβλημα επιλύθηκε .
Το ρούτερ όμως δούλεψε περίπου για μιάμιση ώρα και κάηκε !!
Έγινε αντικατάσταση από τον τεχνικό με νέο στο οποίο τώρα δείχνει να μη δουλεύει η βάση για τα τηλέφωνα DECT .
Αδύναμο WI-FI , ζεσταίνεται υπερβολικά 67-70 βαθμούς μόνιμα .
Από δυνατότητες βέβαια λόγω του FritzOs έχει πάρα πολλές και στο mesh networking μεταφέρει τα πάντα (wi-fi , τηλεφωνία ).

The schedule internet time per device feature has been integrated for a while now, meaning you can set what time the internet will turn on and off per device. Good if you want to set limits for your kids, etc., from the parental controls field by creating a new profile.

I had the same problem, and many of you probably do too, with the WiFi.
The same problem was faced and perhaps is still faced by Cosmote technicians.
With an ethernet cable, I get 1068/544mbps max average, with -13.2dbm max line noise. Very good, due to the careful installation by the contractor.
With WiFi6, I get 998/480mbps in the room where the router is (5Ghz) at a distance of 2 meters. Every meter you go back, it drops dramatically. At 4-5 meters without obstacles, it reaches 750mbps max and keeps dropping.
In the 2 farthest rooms where I have 2 other computers (about 15-18 meters from the router), with 2-3 walls as obstacles and closed doors, and with a Fritz! Repeater 1200AX, I get 580mbps up to 820mbps with correct channel selection (manual).
As a router, it has an incredible number of useful features, but its WiFi is bad for a Fritz! router. It must definitely be combined with a Fritz Repeater 1200AX Mesh or another Mesh Repeater on the market.
Apart from the WiFi issue, the router is flawless with Ethernet connection, good materials, settings. Temperature-wise, it’s OK due to its frame construction.
Basic mistakes.
Never use powerlines with fiber optic.
An excellent fiber optic connection ranges from -13 to -16dbm line noise.
This depends on the work done, the cabinet, and of course the provider.
Noise should not exceed -23dbm.
The latest router upgrade is version v8.20, you should definitely do it. If you also have the Repeater 1200AX, upgrade that too.
If the router does not upgrade automatically, download the files manually from AVM’s FTP address.
It’s positive that there will be more future upgrades - although the WiFi problem will not be fixed, and the reason is the 2 internal WiFi cables - I believe they run the wrong route over the board (version 2 - like the one Cosmote provides). There is a solution, and if you search on YouTube, you can change the route of the 2 cables or even better, attach 2 or even 4 external antennas to the board - it’s not difficult for someone who is into this.
If you want the ultimate, buy a decent 2 or 3-pack MESH repeater for greater wireless coverage.
Pilot at 2000mbps in March 2024 went excellently (photo) with a cat6 ethernet cable.
There are already 3000mbps in some areas and it will expand.
6 useful TIPS to improve your connection with this router.
1) Place the router in a central spot..."as much as you can" if possible, and not in a corner.
2) Same SSID name for 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz SOS!
3) "Never automatic" WiFi channel selection as AVM suggests. Find the ideal channels yourself from the router settings or other programs for 2.4 and 5Ghz.
I have uploaded photos here in the review for finding better channels as well as some important WiFi settings.
4) Purchase a Mesh Repeater "Definitely" - the Fritz! 1200AX from AVM is quite good (there are even better ones, of course).
The repeater must be connected very close to the router at first, i.e., in the same room SOS!
Once connected, remove it and place it where you want for greater coverage.
5) For better performance and to avoid disconnections due to temperatures, since the SFP Module reaches 75-77c without air conditioning in the summer - buy a Cooling Pad for laptops and place the router on top. It lowers the temperature by up to 20 degrees. You’ll reach 49c easily, having over 25 active connected devices at a cost of 10-12€.
Will you gain something from this? Definitely YES!

6) Do the upgrade yourself or with the help of a specialist with 2 or even 4 reinforced external antennas; there are even antenna extensions from an independent German store that deals only with Fritz....google it and you’ll find it.

Είχα το ίδιο πρόβλημα και πολλοί ενδεχομένως από εσάς με το WiFi.
Το ίδιο πρόβλημα αντιμετώπιζαν και ίσως αντιμετωπίζουν και οι τεχνικοί της Cosmote.
Με καλώδιο ethernet είμαι στα 1068/544mbps max average, με -13.2dbm max θόρυβο γραμμής. Πολύ καλό, λόγο της προσεκτικής εγκατάστασης από τον εργολάβο.
Mε WiFi6 στα 998/480mbps στο χώρο που είναι το router (5Ghz) σε απόσταση 2 μέτρων. Κάθε μέτρο που πας πίσω κατεβαίνει δραματικά. Στα 4-5 μέτρα χωρίς εμπόδια φτάνει 750mbps max και πάει λέγοντας.
Στα 2 πιο μακρινά δωμάτια που έχω άλλους 2 υπολογιστές (15-18) μέτρα περίπου από το router, με εμπόδια 2-3 τοίχους με κλειστές τις πόρτες και με Fritz! Repeater 1200AX φτάνω 580mbps έως 820mpbs με σωστή επιλογή καναλιών (manual).
Σαν router έχει απίστευτα πολλά και χρήσιμα features αλλά το WiFi του είναι κακό για ένα FritZ! router. Πρέπει να συνδιαστεί οπωσδήποτε με Fritz Repeater 1200AX Mesh ή άλλο Mesh Repeater τις αγοράς.
Πέρα από το θέμα με το WiFi, το router είναι άψογο με Ethernet σύνδεση, καλά υλικά, ρυθμίσεις. Από θερμοκρασίες είναι ΟΚ λόγο της κατασκευής του πλαισίου του.
Βασικά λάθη.
Δεν βάζουμε ποτέ powerlines σε οπτική ίνα.
Mια άριστη σύνδεση οπτικής ίνας ανέρχεται από -13 έως -16dbm θόρυβο γραμμής.
Σε αυτό παίζουν ρόλο οι εργασίες που έγιναν, η καμπίνα και φυσικά και ο πάροχος.
O θόρυβος δεν πρέπει να ξεπερνά τα -23dbm
To τελευταίο upgrade του router είναι η έκδοση v8.20, να το κάνετε οπωσδήποτε. Εάν έχετε και το Repeater 1200AX κάντε και σε αυτό αναβάθμιση.
Αν δεν σας κάνει αυτόματα upgrade το router, κατεβάστε τα αρχεία manual από την διεύθυνση FTP της AVM.
Θετικό το γεγονός πως θα υπάρξουν και άλλες μελλοντικές αναβαθμίσεις - αν και δεν θα διορθωθεί το πρόβλημα με το WiFi και ο λόγος είναι τα 2 εσωτερικά καλώδια του WiFi - πιστεύω πως περνούν από λάθος διαδρομή πάνω από την πλακέτα (version 2 - σαν αυτό που δίνει η Cosmote). Λύση υπάρχει και εάν το ψάξετε στο youtube μπορείτε να αλλάξετε την διαδρομή των 2 καλωδίων ή ακόμα καλύτερα να κουμπώσετε 2 ή και 4 εξωτερικές κεραίες πάνω στην πλακέτα - δεν είναι δύσκολο για κάποιον που ασχολείται.
Εάν θέλετε το απόλυτο, αγοράστε ένα αξιόλογο πακέτο 2πλου ή 3πλου MESH repeater για μεγαλύτερη ασύρματη κάλυψη.
Πιλοτικά στα 2000mbps τον Μάρτιο του 2024 τα πήγε περίφημα (φωτογραφία) με ethernet cat6 καλώδιο.
Υπάρχουν ήδη και 3000mpbs σε κάποιες περιοχές και θα επεκταθεί.
6 χρήσιμα TIPS για να βελτιώσετε την σύνδεση σας με το συγκεκριμένο router.
1) Κοιτάξτε το router να βρίσκετε σε κεντρικό σημείο......"όσο μπορείτε" αν και εφόσον γίνεται και όχι σε κάποια γωνία.
2) Ίδιο SSID όνομα για 2.4Ghz και 5Ghz SOS!
3) "Πότε αυτόματη" εύρεση καναλιού WiFi όπως προτείνει η AVM. Βρείτε τα ιδανικά κανάλια μόνοι σας από τις ρυθμίσεις του router ή από άλλα προγράμματα στα 2.4 και 5Ghz.
Σας έχω φωτογραφίες εδώ στην αξιολόγηση για την εύρεση καλύτερων καναλιών καθώς και κάποιες σημαντικές ρυθμίσεις για το WiFi.
4) Αγορά "Οπωσδήποτε" Mesh Repeater - το Fritz! 1200ΑΧ της AVM είναι αρκετά καλό (υπάρχουν και καλύτερα βέβαια).
Η σύνδεση του repeater πρέπει να γίνει σε πολύ κοντινή απόσταση με το router στην αρχή, δηλαδή στον ίδιο χώρο SOS!
Μόλις συνδεθεί το βγάζουμε και το τοποθετούμε στο σημείο που θέλουμε για μεγαλύτερη κάλυψη.
5) Για καλύτερη απόδοση και για αποφυγή αποσυνδέσεων λόγο θερμοκρασιών μιας και φτάνει το SFP Module τους 75-77c χωρίς κλιματιστικό την καλοκαιρινή περίοδο - αγοράστε ένα Cooling Pad για λάπτοπ και βάλτε το ρούτερ πάνω. Ρίχνει έως και 20 βαθμούς την θερμοκρασία. Θα το φτάσετε στους 49c χαλαρά, έχωντας πάνω από 25 active συνδεδεμένες συσκευές με κόστος 10-12€.
Θα κερδίσετε κάτι από αυτό; Σίγουρα ΝΑΙ!

6) Κάντε το upgrade μόνοι σας ή με βοήθεια κάποιου ειδικού με 2 ή και 4 ενισχυμένες εξωτερικές κεραίες μέχρι και προέκταση των κεραιών υπάρχουν από ανεξάρτητο Γερμανικό κατάστημα που ασχολείτε μόνο με FritZ....googlαρετε και θα το βρείτε.
Αν ανοιχτεί βέβαια χάνετε και η εγγύηση.

In Ethernet mode, it works perfectly without any issues. However, when it comes to wifi, it's a disaster. It barely reaches 500. I switched from Cosmote to Inalan with 1000/1000, and the router they gave me (ZTE F6600P) on the same phone line provides 940/600.
Σε λειτουργια Ethernet μια χαρα και απροβληματιστο. Σε wifi ομως ειναι για κλαματα. Με το ζορι 500 πιανει. Εφυγα απο Cosmote και πηγα Inalan με 1000/1000, και το ρουτερ που μου εδωσαν (ZTE F6600P) στο ιδιο τηλεφωνο δινει 940/600.
COSMOTE provided me with the 1000 Mbps connection, it is plug and play... the speed on LAN is consistently at 940 down and 103 up. I gave it 4 stars for the Wi-Fi, which reaches up to 850 down and 103 up, not often, usually it is above 500 down but up to a maximum of 600. The up speed is consistently at 103.
Μου το έδωσε ο COSMOTE με την 1000 Mbps σύνδεση, είναι plug and play…….η ταχύτητα στο LAN είναι μόνιμα στα 940 down και 103 up, έβαλα 4 αστέρια για το Wi-Fi που φτάνει έως 850 down και 103 up όχι συχνά, συνήθως ειναι πάνω από 500 το down αλλά έως 600 max, το up είναι σταθερά στα 103.
I got it through OTE after upgrading to a 200Mbps fiber optic line. Being the owner of multiple fritz models for the past 15 years, I have been completely satisfied with their device stability, although they are sensitive to power fluctuations.
However, my experience with this specific router has been terrible for the past month. The router syncs close to the nominal speed (970 up / 97 down) and the LAN connections work normally at high speeds (with minimal losses due to wiring).
But the WiFi performance is abysmal!
The router was placed in the exact same spot where I had the old router, the well-known Chinese speedport from Cosmote, which I must note was reliable. The wireless speeds it provided, even when you were next to the router, did not exceed 500 up / 100 down.
If you move 5-6 meters away (in a straight line), the speeds drop to 100/70, and if you go to the next room, even lower.
The worst part is the incredible instability of the WiFi. In areas where you have good speed, it can suddenly become extremely slow to the point of having no internet connection at all.
Things get even worse in terms of stability as soon as the repeater from the same company, included in the OTE package, is connected. We get frustrated and unplug it from the socket.
We have tried countless tests to figure out what the problem is. We moved the router several meters away from a PC, which OTE suggested might be causing interference (in the same spot where a cheap Chinese router worked flawlessly, just 1.5 meters away from the PC for years).
We tried changing networks, measured the other networks operating nearby, basically did everything that can be done in these situations.
The company's response was for us to set up a mesh network with cones that would boost the signal and block other signals, in other words, spend around €400 to solve the weaknesses of this specific router.
It is unthinkable for it not to be able to function effectively in an 80 square meter, three-room space, with the router placed right in the middle.
This router was the reason we chose the 1000Mbps line, but it turned out to be a big disappointment. We have asked OTE to solve the problem, hoping that we simply received a faulty product - it happens sometimes - but from the responses we received, we understand that... this is how (doesn't) work this particular model.
For those of you planning to get it, wait until there are more user experiences. For now, it doesn't seem to resemble any of the fritz models I have had so far.
Το πήρα μέσω ΟΤΕ μετά από αναβάθμιση 200άρας γραμμής με οπτική ίνα. Κάτοχος πολλών μοντέλων fritz την τελευταία 15ετία και απόλυτα ευχαριστημένος με τη σταθερότητα των συσκευών της, αν και έχουν υπεραισθησία στην τάση του ρεύματος.
Η εμπειρία με το συγκεκριμένο είναι εδώ και ένα μήνα κάκιστη. Το ρούτερ συγχρονίζει κοντά στην ονομαστική ταχύτητα (970 up / 97 down) και οι συνδέσεις LAN λειτουργούν κανονικά σε υψηλές ταχύτητες (με ελάχιστες απώλειες λόγω καλωδίωσης).
ΟΙ επιδόσεις του όμως στο wifi είναι οικτρές!
Το ρούτερ τοποθετήθηκε στον ίδιο ακριβώς χώρο που είχα τοποθετημένο το παλιό ρούτερ, τον γνωστό κινέζο speedport της κοσμοτέ, το οποίο σημειώνω ότι ήταν τίμιο. ΟΙ ασύρματες ταχύτητες που έδινε ακόμη κι αν ήσουν δίπλα στο ρουτερ δεν ξεπερνούσαν τα 500up/100 down.
Αν απομακρυνθείς 5-6 μέτρα (σε απόλυτη ευθεία) οι ταχύτητες πέφτουν ακόμη και στα 100/70 ενώ αν πας στο διπλανό δωμάτιο ακόμη περισσότερο.
Το χειρότερο όλων είναι η απίστευτη αστάθεια του wifi, εκεί που έχεις καλή ταχύτητα, μπορεί ξαφνικά να αρχίσει να σέρνεται μέχρι που να μην έχεις καθόλου ίντερνετ.
Τα πράγματα γίνονται ακόμη χειρότερα σε θέμα σταθερότητας μόλις συνδεθεί το repeater της ίδιας εταιρίας που δίνει πακέτο ο ΟΤΕ. Αγανακτούμε και το βγάζουμε από την πρίζα.
Κάναμε απίστευτα πολλές δοκιμές μέχρι να δούμε τι φταίει. Με ένα μεγαλύτερο καλώδιο οπτικής ίνας μετακινήσαμε το ρούτερ αρκετά μέτρα μακριά από ένα PC το οποίο ο ΟΤΕ μας είπε ότι ίσως κάνει παρεμβολές (στο ίδιο σημείο, σε απόσταση 1,5 μετρου από το PC για χρόνια δούλευε αψεγάδιαστα το κινέζικο φτηνιάρικο ρούτερ που ο ΟΤΕ μας είχε δώσει πριν).
Δοκιμάσαμε να αλλάξουμε δίκτυο, μετρήσαμε τα άλλα δίκτυα που λειτουργούν κοντά μας, γενικά κάναμε ό,τι γίνεται σε αυτές τις περιπτώσεις.
Η απάντηση της εταιρίας ήταν να στήσουμε ένα δίκτυο mesh με κώνους που να ενισχύουν το σήμα και να αποκλείουν τα άλλα σήματα, με άλλα λόγια να δαπανήσουμε ένα ποσό της τάξης των 400€ για να λύσουμε τις αδυναμίες του συγκεκριμένου ρούτερ.
Είναι αδιανόητο να μην μπορεί να λειτουργήσει αποτελεσματικά σε έναν χώρο 80 τετραγωνικών και τριών δωματίων, με το ρούτερ τοποθετημένο στη μέση ακριβώς.
Αυτό το ρουτερ ήταν ο λόγος που επιλέξαμε τη χιλιάρα γραμμή αλλά αποδείχθηκε μεγάλη απογοήτευση. Εχουμε ζητήσει από τον ΟΤΕ να λύσει το πρόβλημα, ευχόμενοι να πέσαμε απλώς σε ελατωματικό προϊόν -συμβαίνει καμιά φορά- αλλά από τις απαντήσεις που πήραμε καταλαβαίνουμε ότι... έτσι δουλεύει (δεν δουλεύει) το συγκεκριμένο μοντέλο.
Όσοι σκοπεύετε να το πάρετε, περιμένετε μέχρι να υπάρξουν περισσότερες εμπειρίες χρηστών. Για την ώρα δεν μοιάζει με κανένα από τα fritz που είχα έως τώρα.

Speed: 1030 Mbps download, 105 Mbps upload.
Be careful because it doesn't take the standard optical fiber plug but a thinner one, and if your provider didn't install a socket for you, it won't work.
WiFi at 5G, at a distance of 2 meters, gives me 500 Mbps.
Since I see it in other comments, don't expect WiFi with 600, 700, 800 Mbps!!!

Στα 230€ που το πήρα όχι δεν αξίζει.
Στα 180-190€ είναι μια χαρά.
Το πήρα γιατί έχω γιγαμπιτ γραμμή και ήθελα να εκμεταλλευτω την 2.5 Lan.
Οι ρυθμίσεις ήταν εύκολες και γρήγορες.
Ταχύτητα 1030mpbs download 105mpbs up.
Προσοχή γιατί δεν παίρνει το κλασικό βύσμα οπτικής ίνας αλλά πιο λεπτή και αν δεν σαν έχει βάλει μπριζακι ο πάροχος που σας έκανε την εγκατάσταση δεν θα δουλέψει.
WiFi στα 5G σε απόσταση 2 μέτρων μου δίνει 500mpbs.
Επειδή το βλέπω και από τα άλλα σχόλια, μην περιμένετε WiFi με 600 700 800 mpbs !!!

The well-known router that people give for the 1Gbps connection... excellent for professional use, good for home use. It has some drawbacks, though, such as not being able to create multiple SSIDs and not being able to have different passwords for the 2.4 and 5 frequencies. Another drawback is that it connects to the ax configuration (WiFi 6) but does not have a plethora of bandwidth options to choose from, meaning it connects to limited bandwidth where the speed is slower compared to WiFi 5, meaning it's a hit or miss
Το γνωστό ρούτερ πού δίνει η κόσμοτε Στην 1gbit σύνδεση... για επαγγελματική χρήση άριστο, για οικιακή χρήση καλό είναι. Έχει μερικά μείον δηλαδή στο ότι δεν μπορείς νά φτιάξεις πολλά ssid όπως και ότι στις συχνότητες 2,4 Κ 5 δεν μπορείς να έχεις διαφορετικό password. Και αλλο ενα μειον στο οτι συνδεετε μεν στην ax διαμορφωση (wifi6) αλλα δε εχει πληθωρα bandwidth να επιλεξει καποιος, δηλαση συνδεετε σε λιγα bandwidth οπου η ταχυτητα ειναι αργοτερη σε σχεση με το wifie5 δηλαδη δωρον αδωρον

I also have the router from OTE... from the first day the offer came out I got it along with the extender, in a 110 square meter house I have good wifi everywhere... with cable it's not even a question but even with wifi I never had a problem on any device and I have a lot... just the 6 cameras at home are enough...

I have used it many times for clients and there really isn't anything better for 1gbps.
I keep reading the comments below, who themselves say that they got it from OTE, and the only thing I can think of is that OTE gave them problematic devices from replacements they often make.
It can't be that everyone is so "incompetent" and had exactly the same problem.
We're talking about a company that makes reliable and serious tools.

Διαβάζω και ξανά διαβάζω τα σχόλια που κάνουν οι από κάτω, οι οποιοι λένε και από μόνοι τους ότι τους το έδωσαν από ΟΤΕ, και το μόνο που μπορώ να σκεφτώ είναι ότι ο ΟΤΕ τους έδινε προβληματικές συσκευές από αντικαταστάσεις που κάνουν συχνά.
Δεν γίνεται όλοι να είναι τόσο "άσχετοι" και να είχαν ακριβώς το ίδιο πρόβλημα.
Μιλάμε για μια εταιρία που βγάζει αξιόπιστες και σοβαρά εργαλεία.
The router is unacceptable. Although its speed with a cable is 900+ on a 1000 Mbps line, the WiFi does not even give 300 at four meters straight in the living room. I got it as a first installation router from Cosmote. I don't think it's worth buying...
Το ρούτερ είναι απαράδεκτο. Αν και η ταχύτητα του με καλώδιο είναι 900+ σε 1000αρα γραμμή, το WiFi δεν δίνει ούτε 300 σε τέσσερα μέτρα ευθεία σε σαλόνι. Εγώ το πήρα ως ρούτερ πρώτης τοποθέτησης από την Cosmote. Δεν νομίζω ότι αξίζει να το αγοράσει κάποιος...
I don't know why so many people complain about the WiFi issue... For me, at a distance of 4-5 meters, it gave me perfectly good speed on my phone in a speed test. See photo. You are wrong to underestimate it... I have no complaints!
I also put a cooling pad and it dramatically lowered the temperature.

The router is unacceptable. Although its speed with a cable is 900+ on a 1000 Mbps line, the WiFi does not even give 300 at four meters straight in the living room. I got it as a first installation router from Cosmote. I don't think it's worth buying...

I don't know why so many people complain about the WiFi issue... For me, at a distance of 4-5 meters, it gave me perfectly good speed on my phone in a speed test. See photo. You are wrong to underestimate it... I have no complaints!

Coming from the 7530, it has exactly the same functions as that one. I don't know about its Wifi because I never used it, neither on this nor on the 7530. You don't use this modem for its wifi but for the features and functions it gives you, such as AVM's dyndns, line settings for dtmf, proper port forwarding, security updates, and various others. Basically, you buy it for its operating system. It is a semi-pro modem in a sense. If someone buys it thinking that because it is expensive it also has good wifi, they should prefer something else.
Προερχόμενος από 7530, έχει ακριβώς τις ίδιες λειτουργίες με αυτό. Δεν ξερω για το Wifi του γιατί ποτέ δεν το χρησιμοποίησα ούτε σε αυτό ούτε στο 7530. Το modem αυτό δεν το χρησιμοποιείς για το wifi του αλλά για τα χαρακτηριστικά και τις λειτουργίες που σου δίνει όπως dyndns της avm, line settings για τα dtmf, σωστά port forwarding, security updates και αλλά διάφορα. Βασικά το αγοράζεις για το λειτουργικό του. Είναι semi pro modem υπό μια έννοια.Αν κάποιος το πάρει με την λογική ότι επειδή είναι ακριβό άρα έχει και καλό wifi ας προτιμήσει κάτι άλλο.

The issue with the wifi for anyone looking to buy it is real. Every meter away from the router results in a decrease in speed. However, the main problem I see not being mentioned is bufferbloat. That is, when a line like mine is overloaded with devices, what will it give you? The A+ and A are the best results one can get. So, I, who play online games, notice that with my old line which had 28/7 down/up, I had much better ping than this. I thought that by getting 1000/500, I would have amazing results. On the contrary! I have terrible delay and a lot of ping in games, resulting in me stopping playing online for this reason. I informed my provider and they told me that they can't do anything because this is what they provide at 1000. It is much inferior to the 5590 in terms of processor and with fewer configurations. ΤΟ Θέμα με το wifi για όποιον πάει να το αγοράσει να ξέρετε ότι ισχύει. Κάθε μέτρο μακριά από το ρούτερ είναι και μείωση ταχύτητας.ΤΟ κυρίως πρόβλημα ομωσ δεν βλέπω να αναφέρεται και αυτό δεν είναι άλλο από το bufferbloat. Δλδ όταν μια γραμμή σαν τη δική μου φουλαρει από συσκευές ,τι θα σου δώσει. Το A+ kai to A είναι το καλύτερο αποτέλεσμα που μπορεί να πάρει κάποιος . Εγώ λοιπόν που παίζω online games παρατηρώ ότι με την παλιά μου γραμμή που έπιανα 28/7 down/up είχα πολύ καλύτερο ping από αυτό. θεώρησα λοιπόν ότι βάζοντας 1000/500 θα έχω εκπληκτικά αποτελεσματα. Το αντίθετο! Έχω τρομερό delay και πάρα πολύ ping στα γκειμσ με αποτέλεσμα να σταματήσω να παίζω online γι'αυτό τον λόγο. ενημέρωσα τον πάροχο μου και μου είπαν ότι δεν μπορούν να κάνουν κάτι διότι αυτό δίνουν στην 1000. είναι πολύ υποδεέστερο από το 5590 στο θέμα επεξεργαστή και με πιο λίγες παραμετροποιήσεις . The worst there is, yes it has a stable connection, yes with a cable it reaches 1 gbps, but with a Wi-Fi connection, if you don't sit right next to it, the speed drops to half at a distance of 4 meters. Never take this router, and its extender is laughable; my devices had a better connection directly to the router than with this one.
EDIT: 16/09/24 For anyone wondering after they send it from OTE, I solved my problem by buying a pair of TP-LINK Deco X50 v1 WiFi Mesh Network Access Point Wi-Fi 6 Dual Band (2.4 & 5GHz) in a Dual Kit. At a distance of over 10 meters, I download with an average of 600-850 mbps and upload with 100-150 mbps depending on the device. With a Gigabyte motherboard that has a built-in Wi-Fi antenna on the computer, I have almost 900 mbps wirelessly and 2 ping while browsing. In gaming, depending on the game, the server, and the device, I notice 25-60 ping. The best part is that I placed the second deco in its box because these numbers are from the deco that is plugged into the Fritz box, and it was better than getting a signal from a second deco in the room where I have my devices, thus allowing for real coverage over large distances and floors, which the router by itself and with its extender, without help on Wi-Fi, is laughable. Regarding the deco, +3 years warranty and an excellent mobile app to manage everything easily. Anyone with a cable will find it useful as it is without buying anything; otherwise, it is not worth downgrading the line. The Speedport Plus 2, which has the best Wi-Fi I have ever seen, may not work well at 1000 mbps, and the Wi-Fi of this Fritz is the worst I have ever seen. Conclusion: If they install you with this router and you work remotely, buy TP-Link Deco yesterday; otherwise, with an Ethernet cable, it does what it promises.
Ότι χειρότερο υπάρχει, ναι έχει σταθερή σύνδεση ναι με καλώδιο πιάνει 1 gbps αλλά με σύνδεση wi fi εάν δεν κάτσετε ακριβώς δίπλα του πέφτει η ταχύτητα στο μισό στα 4 μέτρα απόσταση.
Έχω μιλήσει 3 φορές με τον ΟΤΕ και εξηγώ ότι με σύνδεση 500αρα είχα την ίδια ταχύτητα wifi και ethernet μόνιμα και μάλιστα σε διπλανό δωμάτιο πάνω από 10 μέτρα ακατέβατο 500ρι σε όλες τις συσκευές με wifi 6 .
Μάλιστα όταν ο ΟΤΕ ενεργοποίησε απομακρυσμένα την σύνδεση 1gbps τότε το προηγούμενο ρουτερ κατάφερε να πιάσει 750mbps ακατέβατα με wi fi .
Τώρα με το νέο άχρηστο ρουτερ έχω 150mbps από 500 και 750 και η απάντηση τους είναι να παίζω με τις συχνότητες.
Θα προβώ σε περισσότερη επικοινωνία μαζί τους την πάτησα και εγώ όπως και οι υπόλοιποι στα σχόλια μην το πάρετε ποτέ αυτό το ρουτερ και το extender του είναι για κλάματα, οι συσκευές μου είχαν καλύτερη σύνδεση απευθείας στο ρούτερ πάρα με αυτό.

Για όποιον έχει την απορία αφού του το στείλουν από ΟΤΕ , εγώ έλυσα το πρόβλημά μου αγοράζοντας ένα ζεύγος από TP-LINK Deco X50 v1 WiFi Mesh Network Access Point Wi‑Fi 6 Dual Band (2.4 & 5GHz) σε Διπλό Kit.
Σε απόσταση πάνω από 10 μέτρα κατεβάζω με μέσο όρο 600-850 mbps και ανεβάζω με 100-150 mbps ανάλογα τη συσκευή.
Με μητρική Gigabyte που έχει ενσωματωμένη κεραία wifi στον υπολογιστή , έχω σχεδόν 900 mbps ασύρματα και 2 ping στο browsing.
Στο gaming αναλόγως το game , τον server και την συσκευή παρατηρώ 25-60 ping .
Το καλύτερο είναι ότι το δεύτερο deco το έβαλα στο κουτί του γιατί τα νούμερα αυτά είναι από το deco που είναι κουμπωμένο στο Fritz box και ήταν καλύτερα από τα να παίρνω σήμα από δεύτερο deco στο δωμάτιο που έχω τις συσκευές μου, άρα δυνατότητα κάλυψης πραγματικά μεγάλης απόστασης και ορόφων που το ρούτερ από μόνο του και με το extender του χωρίς βοήθεια στο wifi , είναι για κλάματα. Στα του deco +3 χρόνια εγγύηση και εξαιρετική εφαρμογή στο κινητό για να διαχειρίζεστε τα πάντα με ευκολία. Όποιος έχει καλώδιο θα τον βολέψει ως έχει η συσκευή χωρίς να αγοράσετε τίποτα αλλιώς δεν αξίζει να υποβαθμίσετε την γραμμή , το speedport plus 2 που έχει το καλύτερο wifi που έχω δει ποτέ ίσως να μην δουλέψει καλά στα 1000mbps και το wifi αυτού του fritz είναι ότι χειρότερο έχω δει ποτέ μου.
Συμπέρασμα: Αν σας κάνουν την εγκατάσταση με αυτό το ρούτερ και κάνετε δουλειά σας απομακρυσμένα αγοράστε tp link deco χθες , ειδάλλως με ethernet καλώδιο κάνει αυτό που υπόσχεται.
The worst... wireless... with 1 gbs... line... the WIFI performance at a distance of 3m... 250mbs.... Far away and disappointing. This router is problematic. I contacted EETT and after a document I sent to OTE, they downgraded my line to 500mbs... They gave me the speedport plus ii at a distance of 5m the WIFI gave 430mbs... conclusion... this model is useless. The Germans give us this in Greece... because they consider us third world... NEVER go for a 1gbs line. The law is clear... loss from your provider up to 20%... if companies tell you... "we do not guarantee the wifi speed... it is illegal towards the customer... The speed in fiber optic... is GUARANTEED.

This particular product is provided by COSMOTE for 1Gb fiber optic connections.
As an owner of a router from this company for several years and completely satisfied with both the quality and performance, especially with the 7490, I accepted the offer.
Compared to the ONT - NOKIA - and router, the fritzbox7490 measurements were: 938 download, 102 upload.
When the technician installed the 5530 on the fiber optic and we measured it, it showed 920 download, 100 upload!
Initially, the phone did not work and with the technician's intervention, the problem was resolved.
However, the router worked for about an hour and a half and then burned out!!
It was replaced by the technician with a new one, which now seems to not work with the DECT phone base.
Weak WI-FI, excessively heating up to 67-70 degrees constantly.
Of course, due to FritzOs capabilities, it has many features and in mesh networking it transfers everything (wi-fi, phone).
The conclusions are yours.
Το συγκεκριμένο προϊόν το χορηγεί ο COSMOTE σε συνδέσεις οπτικής ίνας 1Gb.
Ως κάτοχος ρούτερ από τη συγκεκριμένη εταιρία για αρκετά χρόνια και απόλυτα ευχαριστημένος τόσο από την ποιότητα όσο και από τις επιδόσεις τους ειδικά με το 7490 , δέχθηκα την προσφορά .
Σε σύγκριση με το ΟΝΤ – ΝΟΚΙΑ- και ρούτερ το fritzobox7490 οι μετρήσεις : 938 download 102 upload
Όταν το έβαλε ο τεχνικός στην οπτική ίνα το 5530 και το μετρήσαμε έδειξε 920 download , 100 upload !!
Αρχικά δε δούλεψε η τηλεφωνία και με παρέμβαση του τεχνικού το πρόβλημα επιλύθηκε .
Το ρούτερ όμως δούλεψε περίπου για μιάμιση ώρα και κάηκε !!
Έγινε αντικατάσταση από τον τεχνικό με νέο στο οποίο τώρα δείχνει να μη δουλεύει η βάση για τα τηλέφωνα DECT .
Αδύναμο WI-FI , ζεσταίνεται υπερβολικά 67-70 βαθμούς μόνιμα .
Από δυνατότητες βέβαια λόγω του FritzOs έχει πάρα πολλές και στο mesh networking μεταφέρει τα πάντα (wi-fi , τηλεφωνία ).

The schedule internet time per device feature has been integrated for a while now, meaning you can set what time the internet will turn on and off per device. Good if you want to set limits for your kids, etc., from the parental controls field by creating a new profile.
***Four stars for its bad WiFi, since it is AVM***
I had the same problem, and many of you probably do too, with the WiFi.
The same problem was faced and perhaps is still faced by Cosmote technicians.
With an ethernet cable, I get 1068/544mbps max average, with -13.2dbm max line noise. Very good, due to the careful installation by the contractor.
With WiFi6, I get 998/480mbps in the room where the router is (5Ghz) at a distance of 2 meters. Every meter you go back, it drops dramatically. At 4-5 meters without obstacles, it reaches 750mbps max and keeps dropping.
In the 2 farthest rooms where I have 2 other computers (about 15-18 meters from the router), with 2-3 walls as obstacles and closed doors, and with a Fritz! Repeater 1200AX, I get 580mbps up to 820mbps with correct channel selection (manual).
As a router, it has an incredible number of useful features, but its WiFi is bad for a Fritz! router. It must definitely be combined with a Fritz Repeater 1200AX Mesh or another Mesh Repeater on the market.
Apart from the WiFi issue, the router is flawless with Ethernet connection, good materials, settings. Temperature-wise, it’s OK due to its frame construction.
Basic mistakes.
Never use powerlines with fiber optic.
An excellent fiber optic connection ranges from -13 to -16dbm line noise.
This depends on the work done, the cabinet, and of course the provider.
Noise should not exceed -23dbm.
The latest router upgrade is version v8.20, you should definitely do it. If you also have the Repeater 1200AX, upgrade that too.
If the router does not upgrade automatically, download the files manually from AVM’s FTP address.
It’s positive that there will be more future upgrades - although the WiFi problem will not be fixed, and the reason is the 2 internal WiFi cables - I believe they run the wrong route over the board (version 2 - like the one Cosmote provides). There is a solution, and if you search on YouTube, you can change the route of the 2 cables or even better, attach 2 or even 4 external antennas to the board - it’s not difficult for someone who is into this.
If you want the ultimate, buy a decent 2 or 3-pack MESH repeater for greater wireless coverage.
Pilot at 2000mbps in March 2024 went excellently (photo) with a cat6 ethernet cable.
There are already 3000mbps in some areas and it will expand.
6 useful TIPS to improve your connection with this router.
1) Place the router in a central spot..."as much as you can" if possible, and not in a corner.
2) Same SSID name for 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz SOS!
3) "Never automatic" WiFi channel selection as AVM suggests. Find the ideal channels yourself from the router settings or other programs for 2.4 and 5Ghz.
I have uploaded photos here in the review for finding better channels as well as some important WiFi settings.
4) Purchase a Mesh Repeater "Definitely" - the Fritz! 1200AX from AVM is quite good (there are even better ones, of course).
The repeater must be connected very close to the router at first, i.e., in the same room SOS!
Once connected, remove it and place it where you want for greater coverage.
5) For better performance and to avoid disconnections due to temperatures, since the SFP Module reaches 75-77c without air conditioning in the summer - buy a Cooling Pad for laptops and place the router on top. It lowers the temperature by up to 20 degrees. You’ll reach 49c easily, having over 25 active connected devices at a cost of 10-12€.
Will you gain something from this? Definitely YES!

6) Do the upgrade yourself or with the help of a specialist with 2 or even 4 reinforced external antennas; there are even antenna extensions from an independent German store that deals only with Fritz....google it and you’ll find it.

Ενσωματώθηκε εδώ και καιρό το schedule internet time per device δλδ ορίζεται εσείς τι ώρα θα ανοίγει και τι ώρα θα κλείνει το internet ανά συσκευή. Καλό εάν θέλετε να βάλετε όρια στα παιδιά σας κλπ από το πεδίο parental controls, δημιουργόντας νέο προφίλ.
***Τέσσερα αστέρια για το κακό WiFi του, μιας και είναι AVM***
Είχα το ίδιο πρόβλημα και πολλοί ενδεχομένως από εσάς με το WiFi.
Το ίδιο πρόβλημα αντιμετώπιζαν και ίσως αντιμετωπίζουν και οι τεχνικοί της Cosmote.
Με καλώδιο ethernet είμαι στα 1068/544mbps max average, με -13.2dbm max θόρυβο γραμμής. Πολύ καλό, λόγο της προσεκτικής εγκατάστασης από τον εργολάβο.
Mε WiFi6 στα 998/480mbps στο χώρο που είναι το router (5Ghz) σε απόσταση 2 μέτρων. Κάθε μέτρο που πας πίσω κατεβαίνει δραματικά. Στα 4-5 μέτρα χωρίς εμπόδια φτάνει 750mbps max και πάει λέγοντας.
Στα 2 πιο μακρινά δωμάτια που έχω άλλους 2 υπολογιστές (15-18) μέτρα περίπου από το router, με εμπόδια 2-3 τοίχους με κλειστές τις πόρτες και με Fritz! Repeater 1200AX φτάνω 580mbps έως 820mpbs με σωστή επιλογή καναλιών (manual).
Σαν router έχει απίστευτα πολλά και χρήσιμα features αλλά το WiFi του είναι κακό για ένα FritZ! router. Πρέπει να συνδιαστεί οπωσδήποτε με Fritz Repeater 1200AX Mesh ή άλλο Mesh Repeater τις αγοράς.
Πέρα από το θέμα με το WiFi, το router είναι άψογο με Ethernet σύνδεση, καλά υλικά, ρυθμίσεις. Από θερμοκρασίες είναι ΟΚ λόγο της κατασκευής του πλαισίου του.
Βασικά λάθη.
Δεν βάζουμε ποτέ powerlines σε οπτική ίνα.
Mια άριστη σύνδεση οπτικής ίνας ανέρχεται από -13 έως -16dbm θόρυβο γραμμής.
Σε αυτό παίζουν ρόλο οι εργασίες που έγιναν, η καμπίνα και φυσικά και ο πάροχος.
O θόρυβος δεν πρέπει να ξεπερνά τα -23dbm
To τελευταίο upgrade του router είναι η έκδοση v8.20, να το κάνετε οπωσδήποτε. Εάν έχετε και το Repeater 1200AX κάντε και σε αυτό αναβάθμιση.
Αν δεν σας κάνει αυτόματα upgrade το router, κατεβάστε τα αρχεία manual από την διεύθυνση FTP της AVM.
Θετικό το γεγονός πως θα υπάρξουν και άλλες μελλοντικές αναβαθμίσεις - αν και δεν θα διορθωθεί το πρόβλημα με το WiFi και ο λόγος είναι τα 2 εσωτερικά καλώδια του WiFi - πιστεύω πως περνούν από λάθος διαδρομή πάνω από την πλακέτα (version 2 - σαν αυτό που δίνει η Cosmote). Λύση υπάρχει και εάν το ψάξετε στο youtube μπορείτε να αλλάξετε την διαδρομή των 2 καλωδίων ή ακόμα καλύτερα να κουμπώσετε 2 ή και 4 εξωτερικές κεραίες πάνω στην πλακέτα - δεν είναι δύσκολο για κάποιον που ασχολείται.
Εάν θέλετε το απόλυτο, αγοράστε ένα αξιόλογο πακέτο 2πλου ή 3πλου MESH repeater για μεγαλύτερη ασύρματη κάλυψη.
Πιλοτικά στα 2000mbps τον Μάρτιο του 2024 τα πήγε περίφημα (φωτογραφία) με ethernet cat6 καλώδιο.
Υπάρχουν ήδη και 3000mpbs σε κάποιες περιοχές και θα επεκταθεί.
6 χρήσιμα TIPS για να βελτιώσετε την σύνδεση σας με το συγκεκριμένο router.
1) Κοιτάξτε το router να βρίσκετε σε κεντρικό σημείο......"όσο μπορείτε" αν και εφόσον γίνεται και όχι σε κάποια γωνία.
2) Ίδιο SSID όνομα για 2.4Ghz και 5Ghz SOS!
3) "Πότε αυτόματη" εύρεση καναλιού WiFi όπως προτείνει η AVM. Βρείτε τα ιδανικά κανάλια μόνοι σας από τις ρυθμίσεις του router ή από άλλα προγράμματα στα 2.4 και 5Ghz.
Σας έχω φωτογραφίες εδώ στην αξιολόγηση για την εύρεση καλύτερων καναλιών καθώς και κάποιες σημαντικές ρυθμίσεις για το WiFi.
4) Αγορά "Οπωσδήποτε" Mesh Repeater - το Fritz! 1200ΑΧ της AVM είναι αρκετά καλό (υπάρχουν και καλύτερα βέβαια).
Η σύνδεση του repeater πρέπει να γίνει σε πολύ κοντινή απόσταση με το router στην αρχή, δηλαδή στον ίδιο χώρο SOS!
Μόλις συνδεθεί το βγάζουμε και το τοποθετούμε στο σημείο που θέλουμε για μεγαλύτερη κάλυψη.
5) Για καλύτερη απόδοση και για αποφυγή αποσυνδέσεων λόγο θερμοκρασιών μιας και φτάνει το SFP Module τους 75-77c χωρίς κλιματιστικό την καλοκαιρινή περίοδο - αγοράστε ένα Cooling Pad για λάπτοπ και βάλτε το ρούτερ πάνω. Ρίχνει έως και 20 βαθμούς την θερμοκρασία. Θα το φτάσετε στους 49c χαλαρά, έχωντας πάνω από 25 active συνδεδεμένες συσκευές με κόστος 10-12€.
Θα κερδίσετε κάτι από αυτό; Σίγουρα ΝΑΙ!

6) Κάντε το upgrade μόνοι σας ή με βοήθεια κάποιου ειδικού με 2 ή και 4 ενισχυμένες εξωτερικές κεραίες μέχρι και προέκταση των κεραιών υπάρχουν από ανεξάρτητο Γερμανικό κατάστημα που ασχολείτε μόνο με FritZ....googlαρετε και θα το βρείτε.
Αν ανοιχτεί βέβαια χάνετε και η εγγύηση.

In Ethernet mode, it works perfectly without any issues. However, when it comes to wifi, it's a disaster. It barely reaches 500. I switched from Cosmote to Inalan with 1000/1000, and the router they gave me (ZTE F6600P) on the same phone line provides 940/600.
Σε λειτουργια Ethernet μια χαρα και απροβληματιστο. Σε wifi ομως ειναι για κλαματα. Με το ζορι 500 πιανει. Εφυγα απο Cosmote και πηγα Inalan με 1000/1000, και το ρουτερ που μου εδωσαν (ZTE F6600P) στο ιδιο τηλεφωνο δινει 940/600.
COSMOTE provided me with the 1000 Mbps connection, it is plug and play... the speed on LAN is consistently at 940 down and 103 up. I gave it 4 stars for the Wi-Fi, which reaches up to 850 down and 103 up, not often, usually it is above 500 down but up to a maximum of 600. The up speed is consistently at 103.
Μου το έδωσε ο COSMOTE με την 1000 Mbps σύνδεση, είναι plug and play…….η ταχύτητα στο LAN είναι μόνιμα στα 940 down και 103 up, έβαλα 4 αστέρια για το Wi-Fi που φτάνει έως 850 down και 103 up όχι συχνά, συνήθως ειναι πάνω από 500 το down αλλά έως 600 max, το up είναι σταθερά στα 103.
I got it through OTE after upgrading to a 200Mbps fiber optic line. Being the owner of multiple fritz models for the past 15 years, I have been completely satisfied with their device stability, although they are sensitive to power fluctuations.
However, my experience with this specific router has been terrible for the past month. The router syncs close to the nominal speed (970 up / 97 down) and the LAN connections work normally at high speeds (with minimal losses due to wiring).
But the WiFi performance is abysmal!
The router was placed in the exact same spot where I had the old router, the well-known Chinese speedport from Cosmote, which I must note was reliable. The wireless speeds it provided, even when you were next to the router, did not exceed 500 up / 100 down.
If you move 5-6 meters away (in a straight line), the speeds drop to 100/70, and if you go to the next room, even lower.
The worst part is the incredible instability of the WiFi. In areas where you have good speed, it can suddenly become extremely slow to the point of having no internet connection at all.
Things get even worse in terms of stability as soon as the repeater from the same company, included in the OTE package, is connected. We get frustrated and unplug it from the socket.
We have tried countless tests to figure out what the problem is. We moved the router several meters away from a PC, which OTE suggested might be causing interference (in the same spot where a cheap Chinese router worked flawlessly, just 1.5 meters away from the PC for years).
We tried changing networks, measured the other networks operating nearby, basically did everything that can be done in these situations.
The company's response was for us to set up a mesh network with cones that would boost the signal and block other signals, in other words, spend around €400 to solve the weaknesses of this specific router.
It is unthinkable for it not to be able to function effectively in an 80 square meter, three-room space, with the router placed right in the middle.
This router was the reason we chose the 1000Mbps line, but it turned out to be a big disappointment. We have asked OTE to solve the problem, hoping that we simply received a faulty product - it happens sometimes - but from the responses we received, we understand that... this is how (doesn't) work this particular model.
For those of you planning to get it, wait until there are more user experiences. For now, it doesn't seem to resemble any of the fritz models I have had so far.
Το πήρα μέσω ΟΤΕ μετά από αναβάθμιση 200άρας γραμμής με οπτική ίνα. Κάτοχος πολλών μοντέλων fritz την τελευταία 15ετία και απόλυτα ευχαριστημένος με τη σταθερότητα των συσκευών της, αν και έχουν υπεραισθησία στην τάση του ρεύματος.
Η εμπειρία με το συγκεκριμένο είναι εδώ και ένα μήνα κάκιστη. Το ρούτερ συγχρονίζει κοντά στην ονομαστική ταχύτητα (970 up / 97 down) και οι συνδέσεις LAN λειτουργούν κανονικά σε υψηλές ταχύτητες (με ελάχιστες απώλειες λόγω καλωδίωσης).
ΟΙ επιδόσεις του όμως στο wifi είναι οικτρές!
Το ρούτερ τοποθετήθηκε στον ίδιο ακριβώς χώρο που είχα τοποθετημένο το παλιό ρούτερ, τον γνωστό κινέζο speedport της κοσμοτέ, το οποίο σημειώνω ότι ήταν τίμιο. ΟΙ ασύρματες ταχύτητες που έδινε ακόμη κι αν ήσουν δίπλα στο ρουτερ δεν ξεπερνούσαν τα 500up/100 down.
Αν απομακρυνθείς 5-6 μέτρα (σε απόλυτη ευθεία) οι ταχύτητες πέφτουν ακόμη και στα 100/70 ενώ αν πας στο διπλανό δωμάτιο ακόμη περισσότερο.
Το χειρότερο όλων είναι η απίστευτη αστάθεια του wifi, εκεί που έχεις καλή ταχύτητα, μπορεί ξαφνικά να αρχίσει να σέρνεται μέχρι που να μην έχεις καθόλου ίντερνετ.
Τα πράγματα γίνονται ακόμη χειρότερα σε θέμα σταθερότητας μόλις συνδεθεί το repeater της ίδιας εταιρίας που δίνει πακέτο ο ΟΤΕ. Αγανακτούμε και το βγάζουμε από την πρίζα.
Κάναμε απίστευτα πολλές δοκιμές μέχρι να δούμε τι φταίει. Με ένα μεγαλύτερο καλώδιο οπτικής ίνας μετακινήσαμε το ρούτερ αρκετά μέτρα μακριά από ένα PC το οποίο ο ΟΤΕ μας είπε ότι ίσως κάνει παρεμβολές (στο ίδιο σημείο, σε απόσταση 1,5 μετρου από το PC για χρόνια δούλευε αψεγάδιαστα το κινέζικο φτηνιάρικο ρούτερ που ο ΟΤΕ μας είχε δώσει πριν).
Δοκιμάσαμε να αλλάξουμε δίκτυο, μετρήσαμε τα άλλα δίκτυα που λειτουργούν κοντά μας, γενικά κάναμε ό,τι γίνεται σε αυτές τις περιπτώσεις.
Η απάντηση της εταιρίας ήταν να στήσουμε ένα δίκτυο mesh με κώνους που να ενισχύουν το σήμα και να αποκλείουν τα άλλα σήματα, με άλλα λόγια να δαπανήσουμε ένα ποσό της τάξης των 400€ για να λύσουμε τις αδυναμίες του συγκεκριμένου ρούτερ.
Είναι αδιανόητο να μην μπορεί να λειτουργήσει αποτελεσματικά σε έναν χώρο 80 τετραγωνικών και τριών δωματίων, με το ρούτερ τοποθετημένο στη μέση ακριβώς.
Αυτό το ρουτερ ήταν ο λόγος που επιλέξαμε τη χιλιάρα γραμμή αλλά αποδείχθηκε μεγάλη απογοήτευση. Εχουμε ζητήσει από τον ΟΤΕ να λύσει το πρόβλημα, ευχόμενοι να πέσαμε απλώς σε ελατωματικό προϊόν -συμβαίνει καμιά φορά- αλλά από τις απαντήσεις που πήραμε καταλαβαίνουμε ότι... έτσι δουλεύει (δεν δουλεύει) το συγκεκριμένο μοντέλο.
Όσοι σκοπεύετε να το πάρετε, περιμένετε μέχρι να υπάρξουν περισσότερες εμπειρίες χρηστών. Για την ώρα δεν μοιάζει με κανένα από τα fritz που είχα έως τώρα.

At €180-190, it's just fine.
I got it because I have a gigabit line and wanted to take advantage of the 2.5 LAN.
The settings were easy and quick.
Speed: 1030 Mbps download, 105 Mbps upload.
Be careful because it doesn't take the standard optical fiber plug but a thinner one, and if your provider didn't install a socket for you, it won't work.
WiFi at 5G, at a distance of 2 meters, gives me 500 Mbps.
Since I see it in other comments, don't expect WiFi with 600, 700, 800 Mbps!!!

Στα 230€ που το πήρα όχι δεν αξίζει.
Στα 180-190€ είναι μια χαρά.
Το πήρα γιατί έχω γιγαμπιτ γραμμή και ήθελα να εκμεταλλευτω την 2.5 Lan.
Οι ρυθμίσεις ήταν εύκολες και γρήγορες.
Ταχύτητα 1030mpbs download 105mpbs up.
Προσοχή γιατί δεν παίρνει το κλασικό βύσμα οπτικής ίνας αλλά πιο λεπτή και αν δεν σαν έχει βάλει μπριζακι ο πάροχος που σας έκανε την εγκατάσταση δεν θα δουλέψει.
WiFi στα 5G σε απόσταση 2 μέτρων μου δίνει 500mpbs.
Επειδή το βλέπω και από τα άλλα σχόλια, μην περιμένετε WiFi με 600 700 800 mpbs !!!

The well-known router that people give for the 1Gbps connection... excellent for professional use, good for home use. It has some drawbacks, though, such as not being able to create multiple SSIDs and not being able to have different passwords for the 2.4 and 5 frequencies. Another drawback is that it connects to the ax configuration (WiFi 6) but does not have a plethora of bandwidth options to choose from, meaning it connects to limited bandwidth where the speed is slower compared to WiFi 5, meaning it's a hit or miss
Το γνωστό ρούτερ πού δίνει η κόσμοτε Στην 1gbit σύνδεση... για επαγγελματική χρήση άριστο, για οικιακή χρήση καλό είναι. Έχει μερικά μείον δηλαδή στο ότι δεν μπορείς νά φτιάξεις πολλά ssid όπως και ότι στις συχνότητες 2,4 Κ 5 δεν μπορείς να έχεις διαφορετικό password. Και αλλο ενα μειον στο οτι συνδεετε μεν στην ax διαμορφωση (wifi6) αλλα δε εχει πληθωρα bandwidth να επιλεξει καποιος, δηλαση συνδεετε σε λιγα bandwidth οπου η ταχυτητα ειναι αργοτερη σε σχεση με το wifie5 δηλαδη δωρον αδωρον

I also have the router from OTE... from the first day the offer came out I got it along with the extender, in a 110 square meter house I have good wifi everywhere... with cable it's not even a question but even with wifi I never had a problem on any device and I have a lot... just the 6 cameras at home are enough...

I have used it many times for clients and there really isn't anything better for 1gbps.
I keep reading the comments below, who themselves say that they got it from OTE, and the only thing I can think of is that OTE gave them problematic devices from replacements they often make.
It can't be that everyone is so "incompetent" and had exactly the same problem.
We're talking about a company that makes reliable and serious tools.
Το έχω δουλέψει πάρα πολλές φορές σε πελάτες και πραγματικά δεν υπάρχει κάτι καλύτερο για 1gbps.
Διαβάζω και ξανά διαβάζω τα σχόλια που κάνουν οι από κάτω, οι οποιοι λένε και από μόνοι τους ότι τους το έδωσαν από ΟΤΕ, και το μόνο που μπορώ να σκεφτώ είναι ότι ο ΟΤΕ τους έδινε προβληματικές συσκευές από αντικαταστάσεις που κάνουν συχνά.
Δεν γίνεται όλοι να είναι τόσο "άσχετοι" και να είχαν ακριβώς το ίδιο πρόβλημα.
Μιλάμε για μια εταιρία που βγάζει αξιόπιστες και σοβαρά εργαλεία.
The router is unacceptable. Although its speed with a cable is 900+ on a 1000 Mbps line, the WiFi does not even give 300 at four meters straight in the living room. I got it as a first installation router from Cosmote. I don't think it's worth buying...
Το ρούτερ είναι απαράδεκτο. Αν και η ταχύτητα του με καλώδιο είναι 900+ σε 1000αρα γραμμή, το WiFi δεν δίνει ούτε 300 σε τέσσερα μέτρα ευθεία σε σαλόνι. Εγώ το πήρα ως ρούτερ πρώτης τοποθέτησης από την Cosmote. Δεν νομίζω ότι αξίζει να το αγοράσει κάποιος...
I don't know why so many people complain about the WiFi issue... For me, at a distance of 4-5 meters, it gave me perfectly good speed on my phone in a speed test. See photo. You are wrong to underestimate it... I have no complaints!
I also put a cooling pad and it dramatically lowered the temperature.
