It then examines the common issues that lead patients to the Emergency Departments (ED), urgent matters from the respiratory system, cardiological issues, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, shock, trauma, urgent otorhinolaryngological problems, infectious, neurological, endocrine urgencies, acute electrolyte disturbances, acute gastrointestinal bleeding, as well as nephrological, hematological, and dermatological emergencies.

Additionally, all urgent situations caused by natural factors and cases of poisoning are mentioned separately. The last chapter titled "First Aid" consolidates all the fundamental principles for providing first aid that can be applied by anyone in any circumstance.
