On the negative side, I would mention the short cable it has, the lack of flexibility to fold it, and the need for careful connection because the cable is internally connected and cannot be replaced with another, for example, an external one. Λειτουργεί ικανοποιητικά και αναγνωρίζεται αμέσως από το λειτουργικό που συνδέεται. Στα αρνητικά θα έβαζα το κοντό καλώδιο που έχειμ,ότι δεν έχει αυλάκωση για να το διπλώσεις και ότι πρέπει να γίνεται προσεκτικά η σύνδεση γιατί το καλώδιο συνδέεται εσωτερικά και δεν μπορείς να το αντικαταστήσεις με άλλο π.χ. εξωτερικό.

At first it reads and then suddenly it completely freezes, the door opens by itself. It creaks and makes noise. Where the light blinks, it suddenly turns off and becomes completely dead. The first time it reads, the second time you try it, it gets stuck and doesn't read at all.
Wasted money, what a shame. It had one job to do and it doesn't do it. Stay away from this product.

I give it five stars because it does what I want for a few euros. I transferred drivers to a new laptop from old devices that I couldn't find on the internet, and they work nonetheless on Windows 11. ACER Drive is the driver that comes with mine. I tried to connect it to an Android tablet and it didn't work, unfortunately Android doesn't seem to support external CD-ROMs, it's a shame, if it did work, someone could easily turn a tablet/smart TV into a DVD player Q(
Anyway, it does its job perfectly fine on a PC as long as it receives enough power from the USB port. Someone might need to get a USB C to USB A adapter to connect the drive to 2 USB ports for better power stability :|
The cable is short though, it's not an issue on a laptop but on a tower PC there might be a problem if the ports are far from the top of the PC.
Also, it's good to disconnect it when not in use

σε windows 10 δεν ειναι plug n play, τουλαχιστον για εμενα, προσπαθησα να βρω drivers online αλλα δεν τα καταφερα, ευτυχως εχω και ενα λαπτοπ με windows 11 και σε αυτο επεξε κατευθειαν

I had to connect it to the usb-c port for it to work. It didn't recognize it in a regular usb port. It does its job just fine.
Έπρεπε να το συνδέσω στη θυρα usb-c για να λειτουργήσει. Σε απλή usb θύρα δεν το αναγνώριζε. Κάνει την δουλειά του μια χαρά.

I give it five stars because it does what I want for a few euros. I transferred drivers to a new laptop from old devices that I couldn't find on the internet, and they work nonetheless on Windows 11. From now on, I'll burn a CD for the car once in a while. I didn't notice any issues with the build quality like others did, at least nothing worth mentioning, so everything is fine for a technology that is dying and we use once in a while. Perfect

Δεν παρατήρησα κάποιο θέμα στην ποιότητα κατασκευής όπως άλλοι , τουλάχιστον όχι άξιο λόγου οπότε μια χαρά όλα για μια τεχνολογία που πεθαίνει και την χρησιμοποιούμε μια στις τόσες . Άψογο

Το πήρα για να καίω κάνα cdακι για το παλιό player του αμαξιού. Στο pc και το φορητό είναι εντελώς plug & play απροβλημάτιστο. Ελπίζω να έχει καλή αντοχή στο χρόνο.
ACER Drive is the driver that comes with mine. I tried to connect it to an Android tablet and it didn't work, unfortunately Android doesn't seem to support external CD-ROMs, it's a shame, if it did work, someone could easily turn a tablet/smart TV into a DVD player Q(
Anyway, it does its job perfectly fine on a PC as long as it receives enough power from the USB port. Someone might need to get a USB C to USB A adapter to connect the drive to 2 USB ports for better power stability :|
The cable is short though, it's not an issue on a laptop but on a tower PC there might be a problem if the ports are far from the top of the PC.
Also, it's good to disconnect it when not in use

It has been used very little, apart from the fact that I’ve set it to read. It’ll do the job in an emergency. On the plus side, it has an elegant and practical design (the cables can be stored inside). Only time will tell how durable it is, but it doesn’t look completely flimsy, at least.
Έχει χρησιμοποιηθεί ελάχιστα άλλα ότι του έχω βάλει το διάβασε. Για ώρα ανάγκης θα κάνει την δουλειά του. Στα θετικά η κομψή και πρακτική κατασκευή του (αποθηκέυονται τα καλώδια). Από αντοχή θα δείξει δεν μοιάζει για τελείως ψέυτικο πάντως.
It was purchased for my wife who wanted to watch old DVDs on the computer. It does not recognize several DVDs that even play on PlayStation 3. It ended up in the closet. I did not bother to try drivers or any other operating system that might make it work. It is not plug and play, so I will not rack my brain to see what I need to do to maybe make it work.

I bought it with the intention of transferring some old DVDs to my computer. Although the computer recognized it as a device, the device did not read any DVDs. I tried it on 2 other computers but nothing. Wasted money. It's better to spend a bit more to get something better. I threw mine in the recycling.

Useless product.
At first it reads and then suddenly it completely freezes, the door opens by itself. It creaks and makes noise. Where the light blinks, it suddenly turns off and becomes completely dead. The first time it reads, the second time you try it, it gets stuck and doesn't read at all.
Wasted money, what a shame. It had one job to do and it doesn't do it. Stay away from this product.

Αρχικά διαβάζει και ξαφνικά κολλάει εντελώς, ανοίγει μόνη της η πόρτα. Τρίζει και κάνει θόρυβο. Εκεί που αναβοσβήνει το φωτάκι εκεί ξαφνικά σβήνει και γίνεται εντελώς νεκρό. Την πρώτη φορά διαβάζει, την δεύτερη που θα δοκιμάσεις μουλαρώνει και δεν διαβάζει καν.
Πεταμένα λεφτά κρίμα. Μια δουλειά είχε να κάνει και δεν την κάνει. Μακριά απ' το προϊόν αυτό.
Very disappointed. The drive simply doesn’t read discs. I bought it specifically to read a medical DVD from my doctor, but it kept spinning and never recognized the disc. Threw it away the next day and bought another external DVD drive, which works perfectly. Would not recommend.
