The twelfth volume of the Collected Works of Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin contains writings that were produced from April 1929 to June 1930. It includes documents concerning the guiding activities of J. V. Stalin from the period of the convocation of the Plenary of the Central Committee of the CPSU (B.) in April 1929 until the 16th Congress of the CPSU (B.) (June 26 - July 13, 1930).
This period was when the Bolshevik party and the workers' state unfolded the policy of "full-scale general attack of socialism" within the framework of the first five-year plan. A key element of this period was the intensification of the class struggle, as the elimination of capitalist relations in agricultural production was placed on the agenda.
The text titled "On the Right Deviation in the CPSU (B.) of the USSR" is a speech by J. V. Stalin delivered at the Plenary of the Central Committee and the Central Auditing Commission of the CPSU (B.) of the USSR on April 22, 1929.
