Good interpersonal relationships maintained by students with faculty members of their departments can be critical for their future academic or even overall professional development, as demonstrated by international research.

Additionally, they are indicative of both the pedagogical climate prevailing in a country's universities and the way in which students and faculty members perceive their respective roles.

However, there is a lack of relevant research data from the Greek higher education context. This work, which offers a theoretical and at the same time empirical approach to the subject under discussion, partially fills this gap and focuses on investigating the relationships between faculty members and students.
